Sea World

We spent 2 days at SeaWorld. I didn't take as many pictures this time since we just went in July and I took a lot then. Here are some of the pictures I took. Thank goodness James loves being in the stroller because he was in it a lot. Here's near the entrance to the park.

I think this car is so cute!

It seemed like the animals were more active this time so it made it more fun for James. It's hard to see the seal in this picture because it blends in with the rocks.

There are more seals in the middle of the picture but they blend in too well with their surroundings.

This bird joined us for lunch the first day. It was a pesky and fearless bird. It kept stealing Jameson's lunch right out of his hands.

The polar bear woke up right when we got there.
And he came right up to the window to say Hi.

James and I enjoyed some of the rides at Kiddie Land. Although I couldn't get him to smile for the camera.

His favorite snack was an apple.

We spent some time in the gift shop when it was raining. He loved all the stuffed animals.

"Hey this penguin is my size!"

Here's where we spent most of our time. James couldn't get enough of the water and it was 90 degrees both days so it was nice to cool off.

Orlando

Marshall had a conference in Orlando so James and I went with and then we stayed a couple of days after the conference was over so we could have our own family vacation. I'm going to post it in sections. James and I went with Marshall on his last conference in Orlando this past July. We did a lot of the same things so I felt like a lot of pictures are the same.

While Marshall was working James and I had 2 days to enjoy the hotel and pools and 2 days at SeaWorld. I will start with the pictures from around the hotel. Unfortunately I didn't get any of James swimming in the pools this time.

Plenty of stairs to play on.

Big hallways to run around in.

He didn't take long naps while we were at SeaWorld. That night he completely fell asleep while eating dinner.

We went on lots of walks around the hotel.

This is a bird cage in the lobby.

James had a hard time adjusting to Florida time so this was a night I took him for a walk to get him to sleep....mission accomplished.

Stay tuned for my post about SeaWorld.

Flying

We flew to Orlando yesterday for Marshall's work and for a little family vacation. I always get a little nervous before we fly because I never know how James will do on the plane ride. It was kind of backwards because we flew to Las Vegas first and then onto Orlando. James was able to sit in his car seat to Las Vegas since it wasn't a full flight. He did great and enjoyed pulled out the safety information before the plane took off.

Our flight to Orlando wasn't as pretty. They told us it would be a full flight so we didn't keep the car seat on the plane with us. Turns out there were about 2 open seats and so James got one of them. Thank goodness but I he would have been better contained if he was able to sit in his car seat. Since it was a 5 hour plane ride we decided to try Benadryl. It had the opposite effect and James was super energetic for the first part of the flight. I packed the diaper bag full of toys but he wanted everything but his toys. Marshall and I got creative coming up with our own games to keep him entertained. Luckily he eventually fell asleep for about 45 minutes but woke up when the captain spoke over the PA. We had to get out the Swedish fish to keep him happy for the last hour. Got to love flying with kids!

Hopefully the rest of the trip goes better!

Details...

Now that the word is out, here are the details (If you don't know what I'm talking about just read the post before this one).

-I am 11 weeks along. We were going to wait until next week to break the news but we couldn't keep it in any longer.

-I am due April 5th.(Mom and Dad- we'll wait until you get home to have the baby's blessing) Yes the new baby and James will be 20 months apart. Some of you probably think we are crazy but we planned it this way.

-We'll find out the gender of the baby in November.

-I have had some fun experiences with pregnancy amnesia. Some of which include forgetting to put the chicken in the chicken enchiladas and the next night the ground beef in the Manwhich.

-I have the normal pregnancy nausea but handle it pretty well as long as I don't go too long without eating something.

-My cravings have included peaches, peach rings, corn on the cob, and Ranch Doritos which Marshall had to run to the store to get one Friday night.

-For those of you I told I couldn't run races because of a hip injury-I wasn't lying BUT it wasn't the only reason I didn't run anymore races this summer. I injured my hip in June while training for a marathon so that became the first reason I couldn't run anymore races this summer.

James is really excited to be a big brother and have a buddy. Whenever he sees the ultrasound picture of the new baby he gets really excited.

Sisters Weekend

I love Swiss Days weekend because my sisters get together. We were sad Ali couldn't make it! Hopefully everyone can make it next year and my Mom will be home by then!

We started off Swiss Days with lunch. While we were waiting in line for our Swiss tacos we saw James and Miriel holding hands.
We enjoyed walking around the booths after lunch and getting some good ideas for crafts we can make at our next girl's night.

When we got back to Katie's the babies were playing King of the Chair. James and Miriel both couldn't get enough of this chair.

Since Katie has 3 girls there are lots of girl toys around. James kept trying to get in the Barbie car.

So I took him outside so he could ride in a car he could fit in.

After dinner the kids had fun on the swings.
After we put the babies to bed we played World Tour (similar to Rock Band). Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of us rocking out! Thanks Sisters for the fun weekend!

Wonder Wagon

We lost a member of our family yesterday...we sold the WonderWagon. (tear here) Marshall got this car when we were dating. He bought it in Chicago and then drove it to New Hampshire to visit me while I was there working for the summer. So needless to say the Wonder Wagon has taken us on tons of adventures!

It all started with our first trip to Boston (where Marshall proposed).

Then we went to New York City.

A year later we drove to Nauvoo and spent couple of weeks there while Marshall worked with the Pageant.

On our way back home we stopped at Mount Rushmore,

And Martin's Cove.

The wagon took us on some fun backpacking trips. Our first one was to Havasupai in Arizona.

Then up American Fork Canyon.

Our last big trip was to Yellowstone.

We will miss the Wonder Wagon but are excited to welcome the Matrix (haven't thought of any cool names yet, any ideas?) into the family.

Rocks

Everyday when we go outside James loves to get a handful of rocks and play with them. He's content the whole time. Then the rocks end up inside. Marshall said he found the little one on the left inside James' shirt, little sneak. After a couple of days we're getting a nice collection. I can't complain though, it's the cheapest toy I know of and it's always in stock.
