Memorial Day, Baskin Robbins, Bowling at Fat Cats

We went to Heber on Memorial Day. Sienna fixed up the fairy garden.

Everyone enjoyed the pool while I did homework poolside on my laptop.
Lynnlee and Hannah painted these.
My mom treated to Baskin Robbin because my kids had never been there.

Another day we went bowling at Fat Cats with our Get Out pass.

Soccer Moms Families Dinner

We have a great friendship with the families of James's soccer carpool. They organized a BBQ at Shepherd's before everyone starts to leave on missions. It was the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. It was a great party and fun to catch up with everyone.

One negative was the my summer semester had been going for a few weeks and I had a grumpy, mean teacher who scheduled a Zoom that night during the BBQ to go over "How to Make Dr. Reynolds happy." Wow, she is a rough teacher and this Zoom just confirmed that. So I did miss about 45 minutes of the night so I could sit in the car on a Zoom call.

Photo dump

Lynnlee rarely takes naps so this is note worthy.

James's hair is cartoonish.
Sienna's mouth was numb after getting a cavity filled at the dentist so we had to take a picture.
Kaden's tan line from his knee braces is on point.
Fun times at Walmart. Who would buy these?
Drew came to one of James's last games.
Lynnlee went to Eden's YW activity and it was a dress up activity. I just can't remember what the theme was and what the activity was.
Lynnlee's friends are great at planning outings. This was a day at the park.
Chewie loved Sienna's new sloth warmie.
We took out the buns and she had perfect piggie tails.
Then another day fluffy curls.
Some cousin time at Cam's for Jack's birthday.
We went to Pizza Pie and took Cam's kids for Jack's birthday. I think Cam had to work and Brooke stayed home with Wes. I'm not sure the details since I'm writing about this months later. Wes did have a difficult stage so I'm guessing that is why.
We went back for cake and ice cream.
Tag loved this movie and went with James and Lynnlee.

Temple

We love going to the temple.

There's something  special about going to the temple with your parents. My favorite is doing sealings. I'm so glad it worked to go to the temple with my parents as well as Kasey and Andrea. We enjoyed the Lindon Temple with them.

Royals Game

We had passes to the Royals. It was so hot! We went on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed some time with the youngest three.

Last Days of School fun with friends

Lynnlee and her friends painted shirts

Sienna's friends came over for a last day of school spur of the moment party. They went to the pool party at the Outdoor pool for NOVA. Then they came to our house and played until 10! It was a marathon day for them but they were happy and didn't want to stop playing.

James's High School Graduation

Lehi High School graduation was at the Marriott Center at BYU. A friend and neighbor with experience told us to go early to get a good parking spot, even if it meant killing time by walking around and taking pictures beforehand. We got there quite early, before the doors opened, but we chilled in the car and then walked around. We went in right after the doors opened and got a good seat by his friends' families. We took pictures before, but then we still ended up staying for quite a while so James could take pictures with his friends.

James had a 4.0 and high ACT score so normally that would be possible valedictorian but Lehi didn't do that because there were quite a few students with 4.0s. So they gave them each the Pioneer Scholar award and all of the Pioneer Scholars sat on the stand. James really wanted to give a speech at graduation. He even tried out but didn't get selected.
Kade was there but he sat by his friend Hayden.

James's friend group is one of a kind. Such an awesome group of boys and parents.

His girl friend group was really great too! They are amazing girls who are kind, happy, and fun. James got really lucky having such great friends through high school.
Cross country boys plus other friends he has made along the way.
We went to Pizza Pie Cafe after. That night his grad party was at Fat Cats. Marshall and I checked students in for about an hour and then left around midnight. It looked like a fun time and it's amazing how many youth I've gotten to know over the years with my calling.
