Kids Club
We were at Lowe's getting blinds today and they had a clinic for kids going on where you get to build a project. Lynnlee and James each got to participate. James built and airplane and Lynnlee made a van. It was so fun for them and I can't wait to take them to the next one.
Kaden Ando Lowry
We are so happy to be a family of 5! Kaden arrived on Sunday at 11:35. He weighed 9 lbs exactly and is 21" long. Here is the birth story:
I really thought I would go into labor on my own and early since James was one week early and Lynnlee was three weeks early. With this pregnancy I was 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced at 37 weeks. My in-laws were leaving on their mission at the end of June so I was hoping to have him before then. With all of that said, Kaden wasn't coming for anything. My sister was in town the first week in July and he wasn't even coming that week. Thank goodness for induction dates. I was induced Sunday morning. I was hoping to have a natural delivery. I've done hypnobirthing and felt prepared. I worried about how the pitocin would affect going natural since I was induced. I checked in at the hospital at 7:00 and was dilated to a 5. By 7:30 the pitocin was going. My doctor broke my water at 8:30 and the contractions started getting a lot worse. I hung in there a few hours until I was a 7 and couldn't bare any more pain. So I gave in and had an epidural and I am really glad I did. The rest of the experience was so much more enjoyable. I was ready to push by 11:00 and by 11:35 he was here. I'm glad it all worked out the way it did. It was a lot faster than my other labors.

James and Lynnlee came to the hospital to meet him. They didn't want to touch him at first but after he came home from the hospital they were excited to hold him.
Thanks to my favorite book Baby Wise and Kaden being 9 lbs, we are actually getting good amount of sleep so far. He has been going 5-6 hours in between feedings through the night. James and Lynnlee still take naps so we have family nap time from 1:00-3:00 everyday. It has been so nice!

Summer Fun
My in-laws left on their mission to Argentina a little more than a week ago. We were lucky to enjoy a few Sunday dinners with them before they left. James and Lynnlee love going to Lilly's house!
I love restful Sundays. It's not very often Lynnlee gives me snuggles on the couch.

Parades
One of my favorite summertime activities now that I have kids are parades. American Fork doesn't have their parade until July but who says we can't go to other parades. A few weeks ago I took my kids to the parade in Eagle Mountain.
Last Saturday we went to the parade in Pleasant Grove. You can't beat free entertainment for a few hours on a Saturday morning. Our friends the Tibbs came with us on Saturday. James and Lynnlee had fun with Camden.
It was fun to watch them all jamming out to music played by the floats.
What parade is up next on the summer list? The Lehi parade this Saturday.
Family Night
James planned our activity for family night. He wanted to make planets out of Rice Krispy treats. Not sure what gave him the idea but we decided to roll with it. First he had us all print off a planet of our choice. Then color it and cut out. Then we made them out of Rice Krispy treats. It was a lot of fun. I'm excited for family nights to come when he plans the activity.

Summertime
We counted down the days til summertime and the water park opening. Now that it's here we have been enjoying every day. It will be a lot harder to get out once baby #3 gets here so we have been doing as much as we can before then.
We went to the zoo today. The weather was perfect! It was fun to see the new exhibits at Rocky Shores. James loved watching the polar bear swim around. Today was the first time seeing the bird show. It was great and I think the best part was watching my kids' faces during the show.

We've been going to Seven Peaks a few times a week. It is the best way to get through the hot days.
I had 2 sets of goggles in my bag that I let James and Lynnlee play with yesterday. Who knew theywould have so much fun with them.

Saturday night we decided spur of the moment to go up AF canyon. It was so much cooler up there so it was nice to get a break from the 90 degree weather at home.

We go walking most mornings. James and Lynnlee usually go in their pajamas. James slept in his Batman pajamas last night so he insisted on wearing his Batman mask for our walk today. So funny!
