Disney Days

We spent a day at California Adventure and two days at Disneyland. It was lot of fun! Aunt Betsy was so helpful and it was nice to have one adult per kid. It made it even numbers for the rides everyone went on. One adult would stay with Kaden and Lynnlee when it came to the bigger rides and the other two would go with James. Then we used the stroller pass to switch so the other adult could go on the ride. We also took advantage of the fast passes. It is a great time of year to go because a lot of times the fast passes didn't change the wait because the lines were so short. It was definitely less crowded than when we went a year ago in October. We will probably go back in a few years and it will have to be the same time of year so we can avoid the crowds.

The pictures are in no particular order. I uploaded them from my phone and didn't rearrange them.

Lynnlee really wanted to see some princesses while we were there. She didn't mind which ones but wanted to meet at least one. She got to meet a few of them.

We missed having the minis but at the same time I kept thinking how much harder everything would have been with them there. They would have been stuck in the stroller a lot. Even though we missed them it ended up working out for the best.

This random picture is from our pit stop in Las Vegas. We were near where the sister wives live and I'm sure people thought we were sister wives. :)
Marshall lined up the kids in front of Mickey Mouse so the it looks like they have mouse ears.

James was about a centimeter too short for California Screamin so we did what any responsible parent would do. We stuffed some card board in his shoes so he was tall enough. He loved the roller coaster!

You can't tell but they are watching the parade and zoned out, probably from the long day.

Kaden was a typical toddler and had tantrums because of the long days, lots of sugar, and being off schedule. He fell asleep in the stroller one afternoon and woke up super grumpy which is when I took this picture.

James was tall enough for Indiana Jones and went on it about 10 times.

While James was on Indiana Jones these two played on Tarzan's tree house about 10 times.

The castle looked like this the first day. It was disappointing to see as we came up main street. The next day it looked a little better but not the same as the real thing.

Kaden and I were sad that we didn't make it into this picture but we had to go back to the hotel right as it was opening to change his pants/underwear. He has been potty trained since May and rarely has accidents, I mean really rare, like once a month. I was completely unprepared and so the only option was to go back to the hotel and change. I'm glad James and Lynnlee got to meet Mickey since that was on their checklist.

It was a successful trip! Besides missing the minis, I didn't want to come back to reality. We left at 3:00am on the way home and got home around 1:00pm.  It was so nice to have the afternoon to unpack and get settled back home.

7 Month Minis

The minis are 7 months old! Marshall edited these pictures together showing just how much has changed in 7 months. They went from so mini and drinking out of little bottles fed to them. Now they drink big bottles and feed themselves. Last night I worked in the NICU and there were five sets of twins there. I took care of one set of twins and also had another baby. I felt like I had triplets because they all needed to eat at the same time and I went from one baby to the next feeding, changing diapers, checking vital signs, every three hours for the whole shift. It was exhausting! I'm glad the minis are past that stage.

It's picture Sunday and no longer on the couch because these two sit better on the floor for pictures these days.

Have I mentioned how much I love this stage and the two of them together. For this stage it couldn't be better having twins because they entertain each other. I might not be saying the same thing when they are two years old and getting into everything and causing double trouble but for now I love it.

Beach Buddies

We left for our trip at 3:00am Saturday morning. Our favorite Aunt Betsy came with. Besides Marshall getting pulled over in Springville and the crazy rain/snow/fog driving through Utah, it is the best way to drive 9 hours. My kids slept until Vegas and then there were just a few hours left to entertain them. In case your wondering if Marshall got a ticket, I am happy to say he got off with a warning. The officer was very nice and even put on the warning paper to say hi to Mickey Mouse for him.

We got to Anaheim around lunch time and went to the beach. It was a little cooler but still sunny and warmer than Utah. My kids loved it! They were entertained for hours. Since my blog is my scrapbook there are lots of pictures.

I wrote in the sand "James, Lynnlee, Kaden love the beach."

Kaden ran around for about an hour straight laughing and giggling in excitement.

We had fun taking pictures!

I'm not going to write about each picture because basically it would all say the same thing. The beach was so fun! It was just as fun as our days at Disney, just a different kind of fun. I would be so happy to go back again and just spend 5 days on the beach. My kids each told me that they had just as much fun at the beach.

We collected tons of sea shells and found about 7 sand dollars. It's the most sand dollars I've ever seen at the beach. This was the best sand castle we could come up with before Kaden, the destroyer, came around. Thanks to him all of my attempts to make a big castle failed.

We went to the beach two days. The first day Betsy and I didn't put our swimsuits on because it was chilly but the next day it was warmer and we did.

We had the perfect hotel room. The kids room had bunk beds and a sofa bed, where Kaden slept.

Saturday night we went to Downtown Disney and played at the Lego store for awhile. James and Lynnlee built cars and raced them. Kaden loved Hulk.

We wore everyone right out and they all wanted to ride in the stroller. So we made room for them and it felt like an over crowded bus.
There are more pictures to come from our days at Disney.

Minis Week in Heber

When we planned our family vacation for the year we had planned on taking the minis. We knew it would be tons of work and less relaxing but we wanted it to be our whole family. We booked our tickets for Disneyland and then a week later we read in the news about the measles outbreak. I thought it would get better before our trip but the outbreak got worse. I couldn't risk taking them and getting them sick.

My parents offered to watch them so we could still go. I was so grateful because I knew they would be in good hands. It was hard to leave them. They aren't attached to us yet so that helped and they are pretty happy and easy going babies now. We left them at my parent's a week ago.

We took their high chairs, saucers and bumbo chairs to my parent's house so they would have everything they needed to take care of them. They sent us pictures every day so that was always fun to look forward to.

They even took couch pictures on Sunday.

They took the minis to visit my grandma.

We returned home yesterday afternoon. It was so good to see them when we got back. Tag kept smiling and laughing every time we talked. Sienna looked confused at first and wouldn't crack a smile. Then she started to smile when we talked to her. Both the minis kept smiling really big at James, Lynnlee and Kaden as they played together. It was really fun so see everyone so excited to see each other.

Thanks mom and dad!!!

Legos

James is all into Legos. He and Lynnlee built these fun airplanes and were so excited to get pictures with them.
