We went to Heber/Midway for conference weekend. During the women's meeting the boys went hunting and scored a couple grouse and two rabbits.
We watched the afternoon session with G&G Lowry and Olivia's family. Always fun to spend time with cousins!

Cameron and Brooke came to visit with their cute family. It was so fun to meet Jack! Kidsville is so fun and there are so many things to do. My kids had so much fun with London and Scarlett!
Then we went to the pig races.
Grandma and Grandpa Lowry met us and brought dinner. Yum!
James can't wait to grow. If it were up to him it would have been yesterday. They are only two years different in age but looks more like four years.
After dinner we did the ropes course and bee lines.
Cameron's family got to sleep over! We got some pictures before they left to the airport.
I love Sunday mornings when my kids wake up and start playing together and getting along. They were all coloring and getting along. The girls wanted a picture of their dinosaur families.
I went hiking with my friend Missy one Saturday morning. This is a new phase of life for me. When I run I go before everyone wakes up and get home about the time they are waking up. When my kids were more dependent I wanted to be there when they woke up to help them. Now they can all get dressed themselves, get their own breakfast, do their chores, etc. So for me to be gone for a few hours on a Saturday morning is no big deal. We hiked from about 7:00-9:00 up to Silver Lake and back. It was so beautiful with the fall colors. We saw a moose on the way up.
We wanted to check out the Salem Pond. Thankfully the weather was really nice the Saturday after Labor Day. We had a packed full Saturday with soccer throughout the day. Then we met up with Betsy and Ali, Katelyn, and Drew at the pond around 5:00. We kayaked and paddle boarded. Chewie went on my lap on the kayak. He wasn't sure what to think about that. Marshall and I kayaked to the southeast end and pulled all of the kids behind us on tubes. They had it pretty good!
Chewie is part of the family and occasionally we take pictures of him in fun places or in funny positions.
Two Chewbaccas...
Our kids are great ages for getting out and being active and we didn't want having a puppy to hinder that. Marshall improvised so Chewie could go for a bike ride with us one Sunday afternoon.
James participated in his first cross country season. There were two races that conflicted with soccer but he was able to race in 4 races.
His times were: 12:46, 12:47, 12:22, and 11:58
Each school handles the race a little differently. Timberline Middle School gave out medals to the top 3.
