Lehi High School graduation was at the Marriott Center at BYU. A friend and neighbor with experience told us to go early to get a good parking spot, even if it meant killing time by walking around and taking pictures beforehand. We got there quite early, before the doors opened, but we chilled in the car and then walked around. We went in right after the doors opened and got a good seat by his friends' families. We took pictures before, but then we still ended up staying for quite a while so James could take pictures with his friends.
James had a 4.0 and high ACT score so normally that would be possible valedictorian but Lehi didn't do that because there were quite a few students with 4.0s. So they gave them each the Pioneer Scholar award and all of the Pioneer Scholars sat on the stand. James really wanted to give a speech at graduation. He even tried out but didn't get selected.
Kade was there but he sat by his friend Hayden.
James's friend group is one of a kind. Such an awesome group of boys and parents.
His girl friend group was really great too! They are amazing girls who are kind, happy, and fun. James got really lucky having such great friends through high school.
Cross country boys plus other friends he has made along the way.
We went to Pizza Pie Cafe after. That night his grad party was at Fat Cats. Marshall and I checked students in for about an hour and then left around midnight. It looked like a fun time and it's amazing how many youth I've gotten to know over the years with my calling.
