Parades

One of my favorite summertime activities now that I have kids are parades. American Fork doesn't have their parade until July but who says we can't go to other parades. A few weeks ago I took my kids to the parade in Eagle Mountain. Last Saturday we went to the parade in Pleasant Grove. You can't beat free entertainment for a few hours on a Saturday morning. Our friends the Tibbs came with us on Saturday. James and Lynnlee had fun with Camden.

It was fun to watch them all jamming out to music played by the floats.

What parade is up next on the summer list? The Lehi parade this Saturday.

Family Night

James planned our activity for family night. He wanted to make planets out of Rice Krispy treats. Not sure what gave him the idea but we decided to roll with it. First he had us all print off a planet of our choice. Then color it and cut out. Then we made them out of Rice Krispy treats. It was a lot of fun. I'm excited for family nights to come when he plans the activity.

Summertime

We counted down the days til summertime and the water park opening. Now that it's here we have been enjoying every day. It will be a lot harder to get out once baby #3 gets here so we have been doing as much as we can before then.

We went to the zoo today. The weather was perfect! It was fun to see the new exhibits at Rocky  Shores. James loved watching the polar bear swim around. Today was the first time seeing the bird show. It was great and I think the best part was watching my kids' faces during the show.

We've been going to Seven Peaks a few times a week. It is the best way to get through the hot days. I had 2 sets of goggles in my bag that I let James and Lynnlee play with yesterday. Who knew theywould have so much fun with them.

Saturday night we decided spur of the moment to go up AF canyon. It was so much cooler up there so it was nice to get a break from the 90 degree weather at home.

We go walking most mornings. James and Lynnlee usually go in their pajamas. James slept in his Batman pajamas last night so he insisted on wearing his Batman mask for our walk today. So funny!
