I know I'm a little crazy...

Being a nurse has made me very paranoid especially whenever Marshall or James get sick. I guess it's one of those things where I think of all the things that "could" happen and so I freak out. Marshall has had an infected gland right underneath his jaw for a week. He's on antibiotics for it but it hasn't seemed to help much yet. It doesn't really stop him from working or playing church ball. Last night he came home from church ball shivering like crazy! (normally he's all sweaty!) I wanted to take his temperature but he kept resisting and saying he was fine. Finally I talked him into letting me take it - or scared him into it after I told him all the things it "could" mean. I took his temperature and he had a fever. All night I worried about him and then this morning I took his temperature and it was back to normal. Sometimes it's better not to know what "could" happen. It's like the saying "Ignorance is bliss!"

Free Karaoke Party!

I don't know about you but I've always wanted to try Karaoke. I am way too afraid to do it in public though. I found the solution yesterday. I was reading the Reader's Digest and they told about a website that you can do free karaoke, no kidding!

Check out www.karaokeparty.com

All you need is a microphone. It seems like most computers have them built in now or you can buy one at the store for really cheap. The website is really easy to navigate and there are lots of songs to choose from. The words come up on the screen with the pitch level. It's pretty sweet! You might not want to stop singing after you've started. It is so much fun! Marshall and I are addicted to Guitar Hero but I think this website gives Guitar Hero tough competition!

Try it out, it's free!

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

James loves to look in the mirror. Sometimes when I'm getting ready I let him sit on the counter. It's a little risky since he could fall off the counter.

Today I remembered that we have a mirror hanging in our entry way. I put it up against the couch and he entertained himself all day. He's found a buddy who looks just like him and acts just like him :)

Details, Details...

Make sure you read the last post before reading this post.

Here are the moving details, story behind it, etc:
We are so sad to leave beautiful Bountiful where we have made many friends over the last 2 1/2 years. When we bought our condo we thought we would live here for 4-5 years. Marshall was working for the church at the time so it was close and convenient. After graduating he started a job in Bluffdale 5 months ago and has been commuting. He loves his job there but commuting definitely gets old and with bad weather and traffic it seems to take twice as long. We knew we would need to move sooner or later but we finally decided, What are we waiting for? It's not going to get any easier to keep commuting and it's not going to get any easier to say goodbye. We just have to face the reality. It will be hard because we have so many fun memories here. We are excited for what lies ahead of us. We are excited for our next adventure.
We put our house on the market today so you never know if we could be moving next week or next month. We are looking to move to Lehi or around there. So we'll see how it all plays out.

Here's some info on our condo/townhouse (I'm not sure the difference. I think it looks like a townhouse but my husband informs me that it's a condo). If anyone is interested there is more information and pictures on a couple of different websites.
The MLS #: 856575.

It is a great starter home and a great way to build equity. It has 3 bedrooms. Check out the sites for more info!

Happy New Year!

New Year's has never been one of my favorite holidays growing up. I've tried to make it more fun and I think this year it definitely is going in the books as one of the most fun! Marshall's sister Bonnie and her husband Ryan and their little girl Kjersti came to Bountiful to celebrate with us. We kicked off the celebration New Year's eve by going sledding. Bountiful has some really fun hills to sled down. We had to bundle up James and Kjersti really good so they would stay warm. They seemed to enjoy sledding. (Is it just me or do their snow suits remind you of the movie The Christmas Story?)

After sledding we had a yummy dinner and then went swimming at the Rec center here in Bountiful. It is fun for the kids because it has slides and a playground in the water. Then we stayed up late playing games. New Year's Day was relaxing and included shopping and more games. All in all it was a fun way to finish off the holiday season. Happy New Year!
