Winter Girls' Camp

Marshall has taken James on a few camp outs with the young men and now it was finally Lynnlee's turn. Marshall and the first counselor got invited to go to winter camp with the young women. (This was before we knew he would be called as bishop) They camped at the Heber Valley Girls' Camp. The first counselor took his daughter who is the same age and Lynnlee. The girls had so much fun sledding and camping.

Lynnlee also loved the one on one time with Marshall.

Mulan Jr.

James tried out for Mulan Jr and played the part of Young Xiao and also Chen. His friend Ryan did it too so they had a lot of fun together.

James also figured out that he was in the same preschool with the boy on the right. We haven't kept in touch with anyone from preschool so it was pretty random.

James and his friends Ryan and Ashlyn.

Grandma & Grandpa Lowry, and Katelyn and Drew got to see his play. We didn't get as many tickets so that was unfortunate. I wish they did it at a school auditorium.

We went out for ice cream after going to each of their plays. It was a busy eight weeks for all of them but definitely a good experience.

Frog and Toad

Kaden and Lynnlee tried out for the play Frog and Toad. Lynnlee was cast as a bird and Kaden as a baby turtle. It was an eight weeks total from start to when they performed. It was a really cute play with fun songs.

It takes place at a really small art center in Lehi. The theater is so small that you are only allowed so many tickets per family. Luckily with two kids performing we were given a few more tickets. Aunt Pat, Grandma Ruth &  Papa Kelly, Aunt Betsy, Grandma & Grandpa Lowry all came to see the play.

Lynnlee's friend Callie played Frog. They had fun doing the play together.

Random Pics

Every now and then it's fun to do a post of all the random pictures that I want in the blog book but that don't really fit in their own individual posts.

The minis love listening to fast instrumental music and running in a circle. They were doing that one day and made beds with Lynnlee that they could run around.

The minis love the new toys at the Lowry's.

These two love to match!

This is a picture of my Grandpa RJ, don't you think James looks like him?!

I love taking pictures when the kids are asleep.

There are two other girls in our neighborhood with blonde hair and blue eyes. They like to play with Sienna and they look so much alike.

Poppy's in the house!

I don't take enough pictures of the random in between, day to day stuff. So this was my attempt at getting a random one.

Hanging out at the library.

Dress up fun with cousins....

I showed Lynnlee this trick.

This eye mask is a fav and gets passed around.

You can't get these chips and not take a picture.

Research Challenge '18

This year's research challenge was themed, "Research Round-Up."James and his friend Ryan researched soccer. Lynnlee researched gold fish and Kaden researched Koalas. We had gold fish at the time so that made it fun. Lynnlee and Kaden each helped Marshall make a video. If you click on their names it will take you to their videos. James and Ryan made a slide show. They all did a great job!

Since it was a western theme they had these yummy donuts at the recognition night.

It's like a Where's Waldo....Kaden is in the very center of the photo. He's even wearing stripes.

Ski Season '18

There wasn't much snow this season but we made the most of it. It was fun teaching Kaden and he got a lot better each time. The very first day he skied was really hard. Marshall and I took turns skiing with him between our legs. We were both exhausted and it didn't seem like Kaden really got it.

The second time we put a harness/leash device on his back. That totally made the rest of the ski days enjoyable. He got a better feel for it and we weren't breaking our backs. Our thighs were more sore though because he only wanted to put his skis straight. We had to keep him from flying down the hill.

He used the harness the rest of the times and hopefully he will be ready to ski without it next year. Lucy skied with us a few times since she had a season pass. One day was cold and windy so we took the Orange Bubble lift over and over to warm up. We ate our lunch and snacks on the lift and it was the perfect rest in between ski runs.

Thanks grandmas and grandpas for watching the minis!
