Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

Really?

Papa Murphey's cookie dough instructions: Read #3.
Really? I had no idea oven mitts were required for removing something out of a burning hot oven. I can't believe they really have to put that.

I borrowed this from my friend. This is the caption, "It's always exciting to find a package has been delivered. But it's even better when you have to look real hard for it."
Good thing it's hidden under the door mat. No one will ever be able to steal it.

First Cut

I attempted to give Kaden his first haircut. I was super nervous because he can crawl now and I didn't know how to keep him in once place. Luckily the plastic bag drape did the trick. He couldn't crawl and he couldn't lift up his arms to grab the razor. I managed to get it done without getting hair everywhere.

I left the top a little longer.

Princess

Uh-oh! Look who caught playing with the princess castle!

MOD Squad

At some point Lynnlee will need a heart transplant and hopefully its years away. We are apart of a support group called Intermountain Healing Hearts. Through the group I found out about the MOD Squad. Which stands for Mothers for Organ Donation. I decided to join and help make a change so hopefully when Lynnlee needs a new heart there will be one for her. My parents have always set a good example of being activists for good causes. It's fun to follow in their footsteps. I went to my first meeting today and learned a lot. So I just want to encourage everyone to be an organ donor. It's really easy to do. Just go to HERE. It's only takes a minute. You can register your whole family. I know it's a big, hard decision but it is amazing to think that you are saving another life when you make this decision.

Swinging

Our awesome friends, the Tibbs got a swing set for us. It has been so much fun. Today we got a baby swing for Kaden so he can be out with James and Lynnlee.

Thanks Tibbs Family!

Fruit Salad

Random Picture Post:

On a cold weekend all you need is fruit salad and March Madness.

Our pediatrician gives out a coupon for a free ice cream for your birthday when you have a check up. It's always fun taking these "joys" out afterward.

Kaden rocking the mohawk. He's the first child I've had who has a decent amount of hair this young. I can't bring myself to cutting it yet.

She picked out her own clothes. Little too much flower power going on. You pick your battles though right?

To Grandmother's House We Go

So nice to have a day at Grandma's! Marshall had an activity with the young men all day. So we spent the day in Heber. James and Lynnlee had a great time with their cousin, Lucy.

My Dad often plays the Accordion while we are there. Kaden sat by him and enjoyed the music today.

Big 3

Lynnlee can hardly believe that she is finally 3. She keeps asking me, "Mom, am I still 3?"

We started off her birthday with green pancakes. Then she got to open her presents. She was one happy girl.

James helped her of course and then helped her play with them afterwards. He always has an a secret motive. He picked out some over sized foam dice at the dollar store to give to Lynnlee. When I asked him why he chose that he said, "So she can have one and I can one." I say that but he was also very sweet to Lynnlee all day and let her go first at everything. I didn't even have to tell him and he just did it on his own.

That night we went to Planet Play. Cameron and Brooke were in town visiting so they came too. Anthony came with Clara and Lilly. Lynnlee was loving all of the attention. She didn't want the night to end.

Blowing out her candles :)

Lynnlee opening her present from Cam and Brooke. They gave her jewelery which is perfect because one morning Lynnlee watched Brooke get ready and loved all of her jewelery. Now she has her own.

Riding the carousel...

Trying on some shades in the prize room.

Unfortunately Brooke and Cam had to fly home today. We snapped one last picture with James and Lynnlee with Brooke. My kids adore Brooke and Cam so we were sad to see them go!

Birthday Girl

Lynnlee turns 3 this week. We celebrated with my parents this afternoon. Lynnlee was so funny because she kept asking, "Is today my birthday?" She was definitely confused on why we were celebrating early. We are celebrating Tuesday as well so I kept reminding her that we get to celebrate a few times. Such a cutie! So glad she's ours and doing so well. Her energy amazes me and when you look at her you would never know about her heart condition. Here's to another great year!

Playing with and sharing her new birthday present from Grandma Ruth and Papa Kelly.

B-ball Blast

It's been a fun and busy week with family visiting. Then to top it off, I played in a regional basketball tournament with my stake. I love basketball and have loved playing with them all season. The tournament was all day Saturday. Our first game was that morning at 10:30 but the other team forfeited. Then we played at 1:30 and won. Our next game was at 2:30 and we won which put us in the finals right after. We were so burned out and lost in the last few minutes of the final game. We played hard though and it was fun. It's hard playing 3 games back to back. I'm excited to play with them all again next year!

Discovery Gateway

Nothing like a free day at Discovery Gateway with family! My kids had a blast with their cousins and Aunts and Uncle at the museum.

Lynnlee's cheesers are killer!
The adults day at the museum. :)

Hollywood Connection

We love the pass of all passes. Sometimes the venues are crowded or falling apart but when you find a good one it is totally worth it. We went to Hollywood Connection and my kids loved it. All of the rides worked, there were no crowds and they even tried out roller skating. James and Lynnlee are so goofy when it comes to mini golf. They don't want to putt it. Lynnlee kicks it to the hole and James rolls it and drives the ball like its a car.

Bike

I loved the weather this week! We went on a bike ride for family night. Good thing James can ride a bike now because there is no room in the trailer for him.

Planking

Kaden is going to be a climber. Within a few minutes he went from laying down to sitting up to standing up next to the box to climbing on it...all by himself! James and Lynnlee are not climbers. They still have a hard time getting on my bed.

Standing Tall

Kaden is 8 months old (tomorrow to be exact). It is funny how different each of my kids are. He can't get enough standing. He never wants to bend. Lynnlee wouldn't stand or bear any weight until 9 months. James liked to stand at 8 months but he knew how to crawl so he was more entertained by that. For now Kaden just rolls across the room to get places. James and Lynnlee love it. Sometimes they lay down next to him and roll by him. Before I know it he'll be running around the house with James and Lynnlee.

Fabulous Fondue

Fondue night at my Aunt Pat's never disappoints. The company is great and the food is delicious. It was so fun to catch up with everyone and fun to have my Aunt Wendy and her daughter Molly join us. They live in Texas but were in town to see my grandma.

I was in charge of the dessert course which was a chocolate fountain. We had left overs so we had it for dessert tonight with my kids. There wasn't enough chocolate to run the fountain but we put it in a mini fondue pot. They loved it.

We were sugared out after all the chocolate covered treats. Thank goodness for warm weather this weekend. We were able to go on a Sunday walk. It was so nice to get out and my kids were happy too.
