Discovery Gateway

Last week we went to Discovery Gateway with my Mother-in-law and Sisters-in law. We went a year ago but James was a little too young for most of the activities. He enjoyed it a lot more this time. It's a fun place and has a good variety of activities.

James was too excited to hold still for the picture.

Lynnlee was cruising around on this car for awhile. She was so happy to have independence!

James and Kjersti.

They look so small on this horse!

Thanks Beckie for taking us!

Skiing

We had tickets to Canyons from going to see Warren Miller. Marshall couldn't get work off for the holiday on Monday but he was able to work off Tuesday so we could go skiing. It was so fun and good to get back on the slopes. It so much harder to go skiing once you have kids. We hope to take James skiing with us next year.

We are headed up the gondola at the start of the day.

In the afternoon headed up condor.

Thanks family for watching James and Lynnlee so we could go!

11 Months

Lynnlee is 11 months! Can you believe it? I can't! That means in another month she'll be a year old! Who knew that we could make it through all of the hurdles in her first year of life? They seemed so daunting and impossible before she was born. So not only will we be celebrating a year next month but we can celebrate that we've made it this far!

Here are some pictures I took of James and Lynlee. (don't mind James crying in the background)

Now he's happy!

So fun to get a picture together.

Ok. Now Lynnlee needs her space.

Crawling!

Lynnlee crawled for the first time last night! We aren't crazy parents trying to get her to reach all the milestones ASAP. We understand that because of her heart she has been a little delayed with her motor skills but we wanted her to develop and not get too behind. There is a great program called Kids On The Move. Who could say no to a free resource that would help her. They have been working with Lynnlee for the past few weeks. When I first met with them they told me Lynnlee would pick up on it fast and probably not even have to meet with the Physical Therapist more than once. I was surprised to hear that. They were right though.

The Physical Therapist came last week. She showed different ways to help Lynnlee. One of those is putting this stool in front of her so she can practice being on her knees. (James was jealous and had to get his stool out of the bathroom)

Lynnlee has loved the step. After a week of playing on it she started crawling (We may or may not have bribed her with food). So looks like I can call Kids On The Move and tell them (in a nice way) Lynnlee will no longer need their services :)

Go Lynnlee!
(sorry for the low quality pictures!)

One Blond Day

One blond day I left my keys in my door and didn't realize until I was twenty minutes away and not wanting to drive back just for that (thank goodness for great neighbors!). I drove twenty minutes to the wrong store to meet my sister-in-law. When I realized it was the wrong store I put my kids in the car so fast I forgot to buckle James. I realized it as we were going 40 mph down the road and he jumped out of his car seat and said, "Hi Mom!"

Then when I was ordering fabric at the right store I mixed up measurements and was lucky to get out of the store with the right items.

Later that day I almost hit a pedestrian.

Then to top it off I found out I didn't get the job.

Blast! I'm glad every day isn't like that!
