Ski Day

The perfect ski day includes getting some skiing in before lunch, taking a lunch break and the lodge and skiing until closing time. Kaden is skiing on his own now so we are enjoying his independence.
It was much warmer this time thankfully!

BYU Gymnastics

I was a chaperone for Lynnlee's class field trip to a BYU gymanstics meet against Utah State.

Lots and lots of schools were invited. It was also very loud with all of the kids cheering and screaming. We had fun watching and comparing. Lynnlee even made it on the jumbo tron.

Waffle Love

Marshall, James, and Lynnlee went to Miranda's on Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend. The minis and Kaden stayed with me and earned dinner at Waffle Love. Kaden was so excited to go there since he's never been but he is picky. He just wanted some Mrs. Butterworth's on his waffle. Since that is not an option he had a churro waffle.

I tagged this picture on because Sienna had some pretty awesome bed head that week. Also, it's fun hanging out these two when the big kids go to school. Don't get me wrong, life isn't perfectly amazing with twins when they have their double the hard moments. Thankfully that is balanced out with the double the fun moments.

Ivy Colleen

Andrea had her baby in January. We are so excited to have another member in our extended family! Her name is Ivy Colleen.

Kasey and Andrea have the oldest and the youngest grandchildren.

We got to meet her when she was a week and a half old.  Sienna loved looking at her but didn't want to hold her. Taggart and Kaden loved holding her.

New Year's

We had a fun filled week with cousins so on New Year's Eve we had a more low key night. We went bowling that day. That night we rang in the New Year at 9:00 for the minis and Kaden. Then at 10:00 for the rest of us and off to bed. We got up early and went skiing so I'm glad we were all rested up for a full day of skiing.
It was a very cold, cold day! It was a high of 16 degrees. When we got to the resort it was only 2 degrees. Brrrr! We took an extra break at the lodge to warm up. This is Kaden's 2nd year skiing and it has started to click. By the end of the day he was skiing on his own!

With the cold weather we've had a lot of indoor days. I've allowed roller blades and the hover board in the house.

Christmas Break

Christmas break was packed with spending time with cousins. It was so fun having Katie's family in town! We went to Classic Skating.

We saw Moana at Classic Skating which made Sienna's night.

Kaden didn't want his picture taken so it became my mission to get a picture of him and I succeeded.

We went out to Chuck O Rama one night. Everyone is so silly there and bouncing off the walls. Good thing it's family friendly.

We got a hover board to share as a family. We went to the church and tried it out as well as some roller boards that Kaden and Taggart got.

Taggart realized over Christmas break how much he's grown and his summer pjs just don't quite fit the same. 😂

The Favorite

There is an inside joke with my brother-in-laws with who is the favorite one of them all. Dan and Marshall stepped it up this year and made this custom apron for my mom. Coby was in town for Christmas so they made sure my mom opened it while he was here. We all had a pretty good laugh!
The apron says "To the best mother-in-law from your favorite son-in-laws."

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning is the only morning when most of the kids sleep in later than 8:00. The rest of the year they rarely sleep that long. So it's pretty opposite. James is up early every morning so it is torture for him to have to wait for everyone else to wake up.

I'm not a fan of taking a picture of everyone with their gifts but I had to include this one of Sienna. She is obsessed with unicorns like every other little girl in the world right now. She got many unicorn clothes, toy, and stuffed animals for Christmas.

Christmas Eve with Charlie

We went to Grandpa and Grandma Lowrys on Christmas Eve night. We listened to their testimonies, sang some songs and Charlie came and gave gifts to all the great grand kids. It's amazing what Marshall's grandparents do for the family and the good people they are. We are really blessed to have their examples.

Grandma Lowry loves teddy bears and has been collecting them ever since she met Grandpa Lowry. I showed my kids her teddy bear room and this is just a small portion of her collection.

I usually buy Christmas jammies at Costco for the kids. The sizes are getting too small so it was time to move on. Thankfully matching family jammies is trendy and much easier and affordable from most stores. We all matched this year for the first time and it was so fun!
We did our nativity story Sunday night so Christmas Eve we watched some other Christmas shows and drank hot chocolate.

Bowling on Christmas Eve

Bowling flew by so fast. I'm no longer holding newborns, changing diapers, and chasing around new walkers. Everyone is bowling and hanging out with cousins, eating lunch and ordering treats. It is so much fun and goes too quickly. I wish it could last all day. We didn't wear our bowling shirts for the first time in 9 years. It was my decision because making the shirts is labor intensive during the busiest time of the year. I'm trying to simplify my busy chaotic life and so the shirts had to go.
Lynnlee got the highest score of all the kids and won a pack of Sharpies. Kasey bowled the highest for the adults.
