8th Out of Eternity

We took an institute class about celestial marriage when we were engaged. I remember the instructor telling us to go on dates regularly. It was easy to follow his advice before we had kids but then after we had James it was way harder. We have lots of family around willing to babysit but as a mom I find it so hard to leave my kids no matter who is babysitting. I remember when it was only James, I had a hard time going to the dentist or doctor because I didn't want to leave James. It's still hard to leave and now I have three kids to leave instead of just one so its that much harder. We have been going on dates more regularly now that Kaden is more independent. I am glad my institute teacher counseled us to make it a priority.

Sometimes we get busy and forget but its nice its nice to have excuses to go out. We celebrated our 8th anniversary this month We went to the Muse concert to celebrate. James asked us what concert we were going to. I told him it was the band that sings "Madness." He loves that song so he was disappointed he didn't get to go with us.

Electric Run

As much as I would love to be a good dancer I am lacking the skill. Which is why I always preferred being the Deejay at high school dances instead of being in the crowd.  Sometimes I get the courage to dance and in my mind I wish I looked awesome  like this.

I really look more like this. I'm definitely not coordinated when it comes to dancing.

Marshall on the other hand is a dancing fool. He has a some great moves and is quite the dancer. He went all out at Cam and Brooke's wedding. This picture doesn't do him justice but it is the only one I could find.

Marshall signed us up for the Electric Run with our friends the Bakers. I was a little hesitant at first. There was a lot of dancing at the start line and also throughout the run as there was techno music playing throughout the whole thing. We had fun dancing through the start line and run and hopefully there were enough distractions for people not to notice my lack of dancing ability.
James and Lynnlee loved it. It was a late run and didn't start until 8:30 or 9:00 so Lynnlee fell asleep in the stroller half way through the race. You know she's tired when there are flashing lights and blaring music and she's sound asleep.
Our friends the Bakers.

The Electric Run is not a race. There is no timing system and everyone is just there to have a good time. It took place at Thanksgiving Point. Everyone was decked out in neon colors and glow sticks. There were thousands of people there.
The kids had a good time with all the glow sticks and seeing all the different light displays.

Pretty cool water station half way through the run.

They also happened to be filming the Bachelor there so that was cool to see. Lots of cameras and cameramen riding around on golf carts.

Raz Kid

James does most his reading on the computer. Today he was reading through  his binoculars. I had to snap a picture because it wasn't like the binoculars were just sitting there and he decided to pick them up. He went and got them out of the toy closet so he could use them. Maybe he needs glasses?
