Thanksgiving Weekend Movie

Per tradition, we went to the movies on Saturday after Thanksgiving. We saw the movie Wish. We missed Lynnlee and Betsy who were having fun in Texas.

After we stuffed our faces with popcorn, we went to Cinnaholic and had cinnamon rolls. You choose the toppings and they had a fun variety. We went to Ali's after and hung out and watched a game.
That night we picked up Lynnlee and Betsy from the airport.
We bought garland and added a new decoration.

Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving this year with the Lowrys. It was our first time ever. It was a little stressful but thankfully everything went well! Everyone contributed sides and pies. Marshall smoked a turkey and it was so flavorful and juicy. Miranda made the cutest name card/nut cups. All of the food was so yummy. It was fun to catch up with everyone since we haven't seen Beckie, Miranda, and Olivia since August.

The teenage and kid tables were in the basement. The teens had fun sitting together even though they would have been happy to be with the adults.
The kid table was super silly and I think they ate the least amount of food.
Marshall enjoyed a turkey leg like he does at Disneyland.
It was a snowy holiday so the kids had a blast playing in the snow all weekend.
Friday we got together for pizza and games which involved bank and wally ball. Chewie snuggled in Dillon's sweatshirt during Bank.

Lynnlee's Week in Texas

Over the summer Lynnlee heard about plans for Betsy to go to Texas for Thanksgiving. Lynnlee wanted to go too. We told her if she paid for her plane ticket then she could go. Betsy was good with Lynnlee tagging along with her. Lynnlee babysits quite a bit so she didn't have a problem saving up.

They flew out on Monday night.

She and Lydia are the best cousin buddies. They never get sick of each other. They enjoyed their week together.

Angeline had a fun week planned. Now that Katie's family lives close, they got to do everything together. They went to the zoo, Dr. Pepper Factory, Magnolia, Buckee's, hiking, and shopping.

Thanksgiving dinner was at Charlie's house. It was so weird for us to have Lynnlee gone for Thanksgiving. We missed her a lot, but we were so happy she got to spend a week with family.
Lynnlee had a wonderful week. Huge thanks to Betsy for letting her go with her. Also thanks to Charlie and Angeline for hosting.

Gingerbread Festival

While Marshall and James were gone, the kids and I had a fun filled weekend! We stayed with my parents Friday night. It is always a fun time there. They take good care of us. We went to Dairy Keen for dinner, watched a movie, played Dr. Mario.

Saturady morning I went running and enjoyed the beautiful view of Timp.

Then we went to Wigglish and everyone got to pick out Christmas presents from Grandma Ruth and Papa Kelly.
Tag really wanted to try an accordion. My dad was super nice to help him play it. Kade got a turn too and then smiles on their face were priceless!

We got back to Lehi in time for the gingerbread festival. Lynnlee's friends Bailey and Hannah came too. Betsy met us there. It was so fun to hang out!!

We did the scavenger hunt, shopped and enjoyed the warmer temperatures. We went to this last year and it was so cold. There was a very cold wind and even though we all had warm coats on, we were still cold. This year was much warmer and I was sweaty the whole time. I would take that any day over cold.
It was so nice having Betsy's help. Lynnlee and her friends split from us to shop but Lynnlee needed me to pay for somethings. Betsy stayed with Sienna and the boys each time I went and helped Lynnlee.

NXR

James competed at NXR (Nike Cross Country Regionals) in Mesa, AZ. He rode down with a team on a charter bus. It worked out for Marshall to go on a work trip to Mesa that same weekend. He flew out of the Provo Airport. It was the first time he and I had been to that airport so we took a picture.

Friday morning Marshall went to the Mesa Temple.

He had work stuff throughout the day. James hung out with the team Friday, went for a run, checked out the race course).

That night Marshall went to Olive Garden with James and a few team mates.

James raced Saturday morning at 10:00. He had an awesome race. He placed 6th on his team. His time was 16:58
Katelyn raced in the girls championship race. It is so fun that they've gotten to see each other at races all season.
James enjoyed the rest of his day shopping and swimming in the pool.
Marshall flew home that night. James came home on the bus Sunday. He had a great weekend and was so happy with his race.

4th Grade Books and Buddies

Sienna and Tag had books and buddies. Sienna wanted Betsy and I was going to go with Tag. Betsy had meetings at work and couldn't step away. So Marshall planned to go. Tag ended up having a fever that whole week and he had to stay home. I stayed home with him. Sienna wanted Marshall to read with her so he went and that is how books and buddies went this year.

Hallow-Turkey Challenge 23

We had our annual Hallow-Turkey Challenge. This year we invited Brooke and her kids to join. (Cam was working) Since they are usually our judges, we had our neighbor/ministering brother and his family be the judges.

Everyone had about 45 minutes to make theirs. We had some teams and some individual.
James and Jack, Scarlett and Tag, and London and Sienna. Everyone else was on their own. I was a helper to everyone and didn't make one.

Gus was Tag's.
Lambargus was Kade's.
Colorful Wings was Sienna and London.
Blue was James's and Jack's.
Stephanie was Lynnlee's. The judges liked her eyes the best.
Ice Skating Turkey was Brooke's.
King Turk was Marshall's.
Kade won and he was ecstatic!!!
