Fishing on the River

Marshall took us fishing along the Jordan River last weekend. It was so peaceful.
The minis and Kaden had fun throwing rocks which also scared the fish away.
The kids caught some worms from our garden.

Nature Trail

A few weeks ago we planned to hike to Timpanogos Cave. We didn't know you had to get a reservation days in advance and so when we got there they were all booked. It was a blessing in disguise because I don't think our crew would have made it up the mile and a half steep trail. We did the nature trail instead and had fun taking pictures.

Lynnlee has been trying out some new poses.

She said this is her new and favorite pose. Ha! Such a funny girl!

Tanks and Snakes

I just love this bunch! Lately I feel like all I can think of is all the things I'm not good at. I just feel like there are a lot of times as a mom where it stands out. Thank goodness I realized how much it's the adversary getting me down. I'm thankful for prayer to help me get through these moments. Now I try and steer those negative thoughts away so I can enjoy raising these cuties.

Duck Pond

One time we went to the duck pond and there weren't very many ducks and the ones that were there weren't hungry. We had lots of bread this time so we were happy there was a large, hungry flock to feed. It is very entertaining for my kids.

We walked around after.

This is our favorite place to explore.

Then the minis found this sand and I thought we were never going to leave. I didn't really want to take them kicking and screaming so we waited a few minutes, and then a few more and a few more and then twenty minutes later they willingly left the sand.

Lehi Outdoor Pool

I love swimming. I get it from my parents. They love it and still swim laps a few times each week. I used to swim laps growing up. I would love to swim more and I hope as my kids get older we can swim more and more.
Lehi has a great outdoor pool that we went to last week. James had fun with friends on the high and low diving boards. Lynnlee, Kaden and the minis had fun jumping in off the side of the pool. They are fearless. The minis especially amaze me. They will jump right in and go under the water and come up happy. They wear their floats so it helps a lot. They all jumped in over and over.

Thank goodness for these floats to make it possible for me to take all of them swimming. I also love the balance they have in the water with them on. They don't have to hold on to anyone or anything and they can stay head up in the deeper water.

Lynnlee's Art Club

Lynnlee participates in art club once a week with other girls from our ward. We rotate houses each week. Last Wednesday was our turn to host and the girls had a fun time! They made melty beads and stamped leather. Then they played outside.

Kaden Turns Four and Cherry Hill

Kaden is four-years-old! Kaden is obsessed with Spiderman so it was only right to get him all spiderman related presents. He was so excited all day being the birthday boy!

James and Lynnlee helped him put together his Lego set.

It just so happened that the weekend we planned to go to Cherry Hill was his birthday so we had fun celebrating him while we were there.
He was being a handful and causing mischief but I guess that is what you get for his age.

This is our second year going to Cherry Hill and we love it. There are so many fun activities with out water along with the kid friendly water park. Plus it's fun to camp out.

We love the water park. It's small and simple but enough thrill and very kid friendly. Just the lazy river alone was very entertaining to everyone and especially the minis. We lost count how many times they went around.
We went with cousins and everything is always better with cousins.

The minis get to sleep next to each other when we camp and they think it is the greatest thing. They just want to play and giggle instead of sleeping. Even at 11:00 when the lights were out and everyone else was asleep. So it was no surprise that they fell asleep on the way home as well as Lynnlee and Kaden.

Kaden had a party with friends a few days later. I got the idea for this cake on Pinterest.

Of course we had to have a Spiderman pinata.

James dressed up as Spiderman and made a guest appearance. Ha ha! He isn't that much taller than the rest of them.

The majority of the party was spent outside with the big slip n slide and kiddie pool. Kaden was beaming all afternoon.
