Lehi Round Up Week

Every year I say we are going to participate more in Round Up week and then life happens and we barely make it to anything. This year we did make it to Comedy night, the market and parade. Plus Cam's family joined us and that made everything more fun.

Friday night all of the kids were in the parade including London and Scarlett. The kids loved it! James rode his unicycle and the crowd ate that up. James really enjoyed the attention. I walked next to him and I needed a shirt that said, "I'm with him."

Our ward float was a pirate ship.

Saturday Marshall and James each had soccer. I loaded everyone in the car and we were running a little behind. I dropped Lynnlee, Bailey, Tag, Scarlett and Sienna off at our parade spot. Then I proceeded toward Wines's Park to drop off Kade and London. I was in the parade route but I thought there would be a back road to turn on and get out. Everything was blocked at this point by parade goers. I was trapped. It was so embarrassing driving the parade route with everyone staring. I had to turn around and go back and park at our parade spot because there was no way to get out. Kade and London had to ride themselves to the start of the parade. Thankfully Kade was up for the challenge. He and London found the float and were in the parade. Then after the parade they rode and found us. I was really impressed with his independence!

The kids got a lot of candy including cookies from Crumbl.

We went to the market at Wines Park Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon. Kade and Tag couldn't get enough of the Lego booth. Sienna got slime and a princess crown.

Cory Wride Memorial Park

I haven't quite gotten a handle on this summer. We are in a new stage where James either has soccer, work, cross country or is resting in between because he's tired. It makes it hard to go anywhere all together. Then Lynnlee babysits here and there which sometimes makes it hard for her to do things with us. So one afternoon I took Sienna, Taggart and Kade to Cory Wride Memorial Park. It is always a hit in the summer with a splash pad and fun playground. Kade and I played some basketball while we were there and it was really fun. He's improving a lot!

Then we went on a bike ride that night.

This swing is off the North Lake trail.

Father's Day

Marshall was gone on Father's Day so we went out to eat the weekend before to Texas Roadhouse. It was a good time.

Some good socializing and good old family conversation.

The weekend of Father's Day Marshall went to Memphis for Cam's graduation and London's baptism. Then he kept Cam company as they drove his car to Utah. He had a good weekend and they made it safely to Utah very quickly.
My kids and I spent Father's Day with my family. My dad serenaded us and played the birthday song for the June birthdays.
Marshall returned home Monday night and we celebrated him. He does so much for our family!

FSY

James and Drew attended FSY together at BYU. I dropped them off Monday morning. I made sure they were settled and then I left. Shortly after they accidentally locked themselves out of their room.

They finished Saturday morning and James had nothing but good things to say about his week. He loved it! He made lots of friends. He learned a lot about Christ and increased his desire to study the scriptures. Saturday night he told me how much he missed it and wished he could go back. I think it was a successful week.

Boondocks with Taggart

On Friday I paid up on a deal I made with Taggart in February. We told the kids if they were good for the babysitters while Marshall and I were on our trips, then they could each have a special activity. Taggart chose Boondocks and we wanted to go when the weather warmed up and we could enjoy the outdoor activities. Plus they have a new ropes course so we also wanted to try that.

Friday was perfect....Marshall was in Memphis for Cam's graduation, James was at FSY, Lynnlee and Kade were at Lagoon with friends, and Sienna was with Ava. Taggart and I bought a four hour pass but I didn't think we would be there that long. Turns out he could have stayed longer. We used up the whole four hours and then some. We got to do the bumper boats, go karts, mini golfing, 3D ride, and ropes course. He also got to do the mini go karts and bumper boats again. We loved the ropes course. It pushed me out of my comfort zone but it was worth it. So fun!

Park Hopping

The next day was overcast and not too warm. We decided to park hop. We started at Hunter Park in AF. Once we got bored of that park we went to Wines Park. We spent the most time there. Then to Bandwagon, Sage Vista, and Sommerset. We got Slurpees at the end because the sun was out by then and it felt pretty hot. It was super fun!

Mall Scavenger Hunt

The temperature of summer started off a little cold and rainy. It was really hard to plan outings because it was too cold for swimming. I decided to take my kids and some friends to do a mall scavenger hunt. I was on a team with Sienna and Ava. Lynnlee and Hannah were on a team. Taggart, Kade and Jackson were on a team. We split up and each had to take a picture of each item on the scavenger hunt list. Here are just a few from my team. The winning team got to pick out a prize at the Dollar Tree. Everyone who participated got a treat from Costco food court.

Saratoga Springs Temple Open House

Our stake was assigned three days to help with the Saratoga Springs Temple open house. One Saturday one of the wards needed help so Marshall, Lynnlee and I signed up extra. Marshall ran the elevators, I was in first aid and Lynnlee put on shoe covers.

Then June 8th was our ward's assigned day to help. We got to help as well as James this time. Marshall was in the welcome center. Lynnlee and James helped with shoe covers.

We went to the open house with my parents, Grace and Sienna's friend.

My parent's took us out to ice cream after. Yum!
