Momentum

James went to Momentum with his PE class. He loved it so much that he's been back a few times since then.

Bearded Dragon

Sienna's friend has a bearded dragon. Sienna got to hold it and her friend's mom sent pictures. I had to post it because I thought it was pretty cool.

Kade played in his first tournament out of Utah County. He was so excited to go to St. George and play soccer. I really wanted to go but it ended up being the same weekend as stake conference and I needed to go to the meetings. Marshall and Kade went and it worked out perfectly for them to stay with Marshall's friend and fellow Lowry Door contractor. I'm not really sure how to describe his role but he's a friend who does work for Lowry Doors in St. George. He has a basement apartment and so it was open for Marshall and Kade to stay there.

They had fun playing mini golf, going to the movies, and having a team party. Funny story about Sunday. Kade packed his own bag. Turns out he accidentally grabbed my black works slacks instead of his black Sunday pants. They were hanging up in the laundry room where his pants are usually hanging up. He realized it as he was getting dressed for church in St. George. He rolled down the waist, rolled up the pant legs and made them work. I had a really good laugh when Marshall told me and sent a picture.

Kade's team won the tournament! The final game was very close! The game ended in a tie, over time ended in a tie, and then they had a shoot out. The other goalie is very tall so he was the goalie for the shoot out.

Skiing with the Minis

I had the opportunity to take Taggart and Sienna skiing. There was a Friday off in February and Marshall and Kade were gone to St. George for a soccer tournament. Lynnlee could have gone with us but decided she wanted to spend time with friends. James went skiing with his friends.

We had a great time! It was a a cold day but sunny so it felt just right. I have favorite run called Boa. It is a nice long easy run that's fun to fly down. Every time I've gone skiing this year it's been closed. It was closed for the first half of the day and then thankfully opened right after lunch. The minis skied so well down it. They are progressing so well as skiers. It's fun to see them improve.

iFly, iRock, Flowrider

We got deals on passes to iFly, iRock, and the Flowrider in Ogden. Each of our kids had to do something to earn their pass. James and Lynnlee got straight As. Kade, Taggart and Sienna each had math goals to meet. Everyone met their goals so we made reservations for the Solomon Center in Ogden. It was the most fun night! We started out at iFly. Everyone was nervous but at least did it. Everyone ended up enjoying it except Taggart. He did it but it wasn't fun to him.

Next we went to the flowrider. We wanted to do that last but it didn't work out with the reservations that were opening that night. So we just made it work doing it second. The Flowrider was so fun because everyone had a trick they were working on and by the end of the hour everyone was able to do their trick. When we went to Jamaica there was a flowrider at the resort. Kade and Sienna didn't like it. I was so happy that they liked it this time. The worker was so fun and help each kid really enjoy it.

Last was iRock. My arms could only handle about two climbs so I enjoyed what climbing I could do and then enjoyed helping the kids the rest of the time. They all just went crazy and climbed as much as they could in the hour.

To end the night we had dinner at Costa Vida in the Solomon Center. Oh man, we were all so hungry that it hit the spot. It was a yummy ending to a really really fun night!

Valentine's Day

The Valentine Man brought Comfys to everyone this year. Well, Lynnlee already had one so she got a dress. Everyone else got one though. They are oversized hoodies that are super comfy. They were a huge hit and they kids wear them all of the time.

We hung on to all of the Valentine boxes from last year. That was the best decision and saved us a lot of time this year! Kade used the same box, as a reminder it is a soccer field, goal box, and goalie. The candy slot is in the goal.
Taggart used his box from last year. It is was a basketball court with a basket and the hole is where the ball comes down out of the hoop.
Sienna used Lynnlee's box which was a candy vending machine. It is so cute and looks so real.
I got to help in Kade's class party. I took the game Don't Eat Cupid (Don't Eat Pete). I took a bunch of different candies like Skittles, M&Ms, marshmallows, and chocolate chips to put on the game board Each kid got to choose which candy to use for their turn. Skittles was definitely the most popular.

Marshall and I celebrated Valentine's the Friday before at a Valentine's dance. Our ward and our old ward collaborated planning a Valentine's dance. The first hour was dance instruction: fox trot and cha cha. The next hour was open to dancing. They also had a photo booth and lots of yummy finger treats and snacks. I took ballroom dancing in high school but I'm really not good at it. I also have realized that my hips are more masculine and don't move how they should. Which means I really don't feel comfortable dancing but I went for Marshall. He is a really good dancer and could really do a lot of moves if I didn't hold him back.
Nonetheless it was a fun time with good company.

Cupid's Crazy Cafe

We had Cupid's Crazy Cafe at Grandmas and it was super fun and silly. We stuck with the same menu as last year: roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, jello, rolls, salad and chocolate heath cake. Everyone ended up with odd utensils and got their food out of order.

I love this Valentine tradition with our family. I love spending Sundays with family!

Choir Concert: SWVL

Lynnlee's choir participated in SWVL. It is short for Sky Ridge, Willowcreek, View Point, and Lehi Junior. They are the four secondary schools in Lehi. They took turns performing at Sky Ridge and they performed some songs together. They sounded really good.

Living Cinema

The February movie for Living Cinema was Love in Aruba. It was really good and a fun chick flick for Valentine's. One of the actors came and did a Q&A at the end. He was super funny and down to earth.

Top Golf

Dan celebrated his 40th birthday at Top Golf. It was a very cold winter night but Top Golf kept us toasty warm. The food was delicious and the company even better. We had a fun time hitting golf balls while wishing him the best in his 40th year.
