Vacation to Anaheim

Marshall travels about 5-6 times a year for work. When possible James and I like to tag along. Even though Marshall is busy working during most the trip, it's better than being home. This past weekend we went to Anaheim with Marshall. We stayed an extra couple of days so we could have a little family vacation. So here's a summary of our fun weekend.

Wednesday night we flew to Long Beach Airport. James did pretty well on the plane. He's in the wiggly stage and stayed entertained by all the people on the plane. He wore himself out so by the time we got to our hotel he was asleep.

He liked playing in the drawer but luckily the hotel had a crib so he had a softer place to sleep!

Marshall worked at the convention Thursday through Saturday. James and I went for walks in the morning and went swimming in the afternoons. James loved it!

James still takes 3 naps a day so it was nice to read my book or take naps while he was napping. When he woke up he was all ready to play again.

Sunday afternoon and Monday we spent walking on the beach and playing in the sand. It was too cold to swim but it was fun to get our feet wet. The temperature was about 65 so it was perfect, no sunscreen needed. James loved the waves and watching the birds.

Officially Orphans

Marshall and I are officially (but only temporarily) orphans! His parents went to the MTC yesterday. We didn't go to the MTC with them because it's different for couple missionaries there isn't a organized meeting. So instead we said our good byes Sunday night. They will be serving in Russia doing humanitarian work for 23 months.

My brother-in-law Cameron is their youngest son and he went into the MTC in December. We took this picture when he went to the MTC. It's fun that they are all there at the same time! Marshall's parents will actually leave the MTC before Cameron leaves to Argentina. Couples missionaries are only in the MTC for 1-2 weeks. I hope Marshall and I get to serve a mission together some day.
