Lynnlee at the Johnson Files

Lynnlee was invited to see the Johnson Files with her friend Bailey. While they were there they saw a favorite YouTuber,Jane Willliamson, Utah Mom. She has a lot of funny videos making fun of Utah Moms.

Lynnlee also enjoyed the night seeing Johnson Files. I'm so glad she got to go!

Splash Summit

We haven't been to Splash Summit as much as I've wanted this summer but we've gone as much as we could squeeze in. 

We took Cam's kids at the very end of summer. It was a little cold but still fun. They really liked it there!

First Day of School

The sunrise was beautiful on the first day of school. 

Everyone woke up ready and excited for school. 

James: 10th, Lynnlee: 8th, Kade: 6th-Mrs. Merril, Taggart: 4th-Mrs. Searle, and Sienna: 4th-Mrs. Searle

I wasted no time. My list of projects slowly got longer as the end of summer neared. A lot of things were easier to get done once the kids were in school. I had a couple of bushes that didn't survive the long winter. They needed switched out so I finally switched them out for Fineline Buckthorns. 

It was mostly a good first day for everyone. Lynnlee had bus troubles. There is a bus shortage. Her bus was over crowded and it was really rough.

James's Permit

James was jumping to get his permit. He downloaded an app to help him pass the test. We went to the DMV a few days after his birthday. He took the test and passed on his first try. He walked out of there with his permit. He's driven a few times in parking lots but he's excited to actually drive on roads. I'm excited to have another driver. 

He will get to drive this old truck from Lowry Doors. It's pretty beat up. He's a lot better than I was at that age. He's just grateful to have something to drive. I wouldn't have touched the truck with a ten foot pole. I was a brat. I had the privilege of driving a maroon Buick and I did not like it. 

Cooking and Crafts

Grandma Ruth hosted cooking and crafts this year. We had a great summer learning different recipes, crafts and such. Making fruit pizzas was the first of the summer.

James is 15!!!

James turned 15! His birthday was on a Sunday so we had a simple day but planned a friend party for the end of the month. He got a puzzle box and some game money.

We went to birthday dinner in Midway at the Lowrys.

Miranda's family was there so it was fun celebrating with them.

James loves having crepes or any hot breakfast with strawberries and cream, biscoff, or nutella. We had all the toppings for his breakfast.

Lowry Family Reunion

 We went to Midway for the Lowry Family Reunion. We started off the morning with breakfast in Midway and we packed sack lunches. Then we all drove to Provo River Falls. The weather was nice. The water was cold! Some of the kids waded in the water up the river but I enjoyed the trail along side the river. Chewie and I were buddies.

We spent the afternoon in Midway. There was free time all afternoon. The kids made crafts and played in the backyard. 

There was lots of nine square. Jack and James were buddies.

That night after dinner everyone went to see the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. James and I missed out because he had a cross country meet Saturday morning so he and I went back home. Then he went to a friend's birthday party that night and I made homemade oreo cookies for the reunion.

Saturday morning James and I were at his cross country meet. Meanwhile, at the reunion....they went to the lake for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and playing in the sand.

James and I joined up with everyone Saturday afternoon. We met up at the church for games, dinner and a talent show. We also celebrated August birthdays: James and Maya.

Every year I like getting a picture of James and Gavin together. It will be fun to take it again next year when James has hit his growth spurt.

Sienna, London and Tag did an awesome puppet show for their talent.
