Weekend in Pictures

It was a relaxed weekend. In the gaps of warm weather we got to play outside. Lynnlee wants to be walking so bad. She gets so frustrated and squawks at us. She's getting closer to walking but still needs some help. She got this cute little stroller for Christmas and it's enough support to help her walk.

James has been obsessed with pirates, ships, Captain Hook, etc. ever since the new show on Disney came out -Jake and the Neverland Pirates. First he wanted to make a castle out of this cardboard box. Then he wanted a pirate ship so it's a little of both. The steering wheel is a lid from a gallon ice cream bucket.

We went in to Target for a quick shopping trip on Saturday. I wanted James to ride in the cart so we could get in and out fast. I told him the shopping cart was a pirate ship and that he needed to get in so the alligators wouldn't get him. He was immediately sold and hopped right in. While riding in the shopping cart or I mean pirate ship, he kept telling other customers, "Watch out for the alligators!"

Friday night we went to Kangaroo Zoo with our friends the Tibbs. I could barely get a clear picture of Lynnlee because she was constantly bouncing. She loved it!
James and Camden couldn't get enough of the slides. I love that place!
Afterwards we went to Macey's for an ice cream cone. They have the best ice cream and it's so cheap! Lynnlee loved the cone.

James had his own plus some of Marshall's.

Lynnlee has been getting like 6 teeth all at once. She was so irritable today and nothing would make her happy until I gave her a blueberry dum dum. That made her happy and blue all at the same time. Her hands were blue, her mouth, and she had it all over in her hair. It was totally worth it though. After a quick bath she was happy the rest of the night.

One Year Old

Lynnlee celebrated her first birthday on Saturday! It is such a milestone for her and we are so excited! Olivia took some great pictures of her!

We had a party for her at my parent's house. It was a fun night with my family and some of Marshall's family. Not only did we enjoy the birthday festivities but we had the BYU game on as well. Everyone stayed entertained one way or another.

It's tradition to give the guests a little picture frame with their One Year picture. Andrea started this tradition for us and I think it's so fun! Here is the little cake I made for Lynnlee.

I don't claim to be a great cake decorator but I like to make cakes. I would rather make it myself and save a few dollars.

This is about the best smile, if you can even call it a smile, we could get out of Lynnlee all day. Probably not the best idea to get her shots a day before the party.

She didn't dig into the cake much but had fun licking off the frosting.

James was more than helpful when it was time to open her presents. It was a little overwhelming for her anyways so I guess it's good she has a big brother to help her out.
One of the presents she got is this cute pony. She's had a good time scooting around and it's nice to have some girly toys in the house.

Here's to another year!
Hopefully she won't need another surgery until 2-4 years of age so we are excited for this coming year where hopefully we can stay away from the hospital except for check ups.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

(Thanks Liv for the cute picture!)

Spring Days

We've been enjoying the warm weather. Lynnlee has a little red car she likes to scoot around on.

James cruises around on his trike.
There is a park with swings next door. James and Lynnlee could swing all day. It makes them so happy!

Temple Time

We have always lived close to a temple since we've been married. I love it and I love being able to take my kids there. James insists we sing the primary song, "I Love To See The Temple" as we go by.

Birthdays

The nice thing about living close to family is the ability to get together frequently and celebrate birthdays.

Many people on both sides of our families share February 26th as their birthday. We had a fun birthday weekend having parties with both families. Saturday we went swimming at the rec center in Kamas. Why can't Utah County have a rec center like that one? Well they do but there are little rules that make the Utah county ones not as good. Lehi only allows life jackets so how do I take two kids by myself if Lynnlee can't be in a little float tube? American Fork only has their pool with a playground open in the summer. So now that you have heard my pool woes. Let me get on with the rest of the post:)

Lynnlee and James love the water. We swam for two hours and I think they both would have stayed longer. (It looks like James needs his nose wiped but it's just road rash.)

I was also impressed by the 3 year old there that went of the high dive by himself. Crazy that his parents let him and even crazier that he wanted to!
