Marshall in San Diego

Marshall had a work trip to San Diego. His aunt Debbie lives there and two other aunts were there visiting. They all went out to lunch while he was there.

Bantam Basketball

Kade played Bantam Basketball this year. It is basically club basketball and the next step from Jr Jazz. He had a really good team with Jr Jazz and they decided to all move up to Bantam. I told have been nice if Bantam had different competitive levels of leagues like soccer does. They played some really tough teams that have been together for a few years. I don't think they won any games. They came close to winning one or two games but most were losses.

Jazz Game

Bonnie had two extra tickets to go to the Jazz game. Kade and I were suppose to go. I ended up coming down with some flu/COVID like symptoms and couldn't go. Then we found out she had a few more extra tickets. Lynnlee, Kade,Tag and Sienna got to go. My in laws came over for dinner and then they all left to the game. They saw my cousin Stacey there. Betsy was working at the game too. She spoiled them so much. She took them to the Jazz store and they got to pick something out.

James had high school soccer and Marshall had a soccer game. I stayed home sick in bed with a monstrous headache and a fever. So it was nice the kids all had something fun to do since I was down.

The youth went tubing to Soldier Hollow. Marshall is a young men leader so he went too. They had a fun night!

Color Me Mine

The girls got a night at Color Me Mine for Christmas. Marshall took them since he enjoys painting/artsy things so much. Sienna painted a sea horse.

Marshall glazed a butter dish.

Ice Breakers

Marshall was going to take Kade to Ice Breakers in St. George since I got to go to two tournaments. Then James was asked to guess play. We decided to make a family weekend out of it. We reserved a condo at a favorite called Las Palmas. Lynnlee, Tag, Sienna and I went down Thursday. We stopped in Cedar City to play at an arcade on the Get Out Pass.

It was a pretty small arcade but still fun to check it out.
Friday morning I took advantage of a paved trail for my run. It was a beautiful morning.

I have been eyeing the St. George Ironman 70.3. Not signed up yet but thinking really hard about it.

Views from my morning run.
We went to the pool and hot tub after breakfast.
Friday morning Marshall drove down with James and Kade. We met up with them at the Red Cliffs Temple open house. It is the same floor plan as the Saratoga Springs Temple, just different colors and interior decorating.
Then we went to the St. George Temple. Marshall and older kids did baptisms. Tag, Sienna and I spent time in the visitors center. We also recreated this picture.
We went out to dinner at Dickey's BBQ. It was a fun night!
We had passes to The Rinq from the Get Out Pass. It happened to be next to Las Palmas. We went skating after dinner. It was a smaller rink but not too crowded so we could still skate a lot.
Saturday morning I went on a long run. Again, the weather was beautiful. It was nice to get out.
During the weekend James and Kade has games at the same time but different locations. We divided and conquered. Friday I went to James's and Marshall went to Kade's. Saturday morning Marshall went to Kade's and I went to James's. Monday I went to Kade's and Marshall went to James's. They lost their games but made the most of it.

Saturday afternoon Marshall, James and Lynnlee went shopping while I took the younger ones to Fiesta Fun. Then we met up at the condo for dinner.
Also on the get out pass was ninja playground. It also happened to be next to Las Palmas.

I had to work but everyone else went and enjoyed the place. I love working from home but it's hard to get my hours in when we are out of town.
Sunday we slept in and went to a ward nearby. We couldn't believe how crowded it was. Everyone vacationing in St. George went to this ward, or so it felt like it. There were so many people it looked like stake conference. There had to have been close to one thousand people. The ward seemed used to it and they had a second sacrament table set up in the gym.
That afternoon we went to a park and also Pioneer Park.

Monday they each had one more game and then we left for home.

Broken Bones

Tag was running around the house with Kade during the Super Bowl. He ran at full speed and crashed his left foot into the foot of the couch. He cried really hard. It was still hurting him two days later so I decided to take him to the doctor for peace of mind. His x-ray showed a broken left pinky toe. It was a buckle fracture just like James but James was his hand.

Tag's break didn't have a cast or splint but he wore a boot. I found some Ortho shoes but they weren't comfortable for him. We had a boot that Sienna got after a sprain. Tag decided that was the most comfortable

The same day Tag had his x-ray, James got his cast off.
He was given a splint to wear for the next few weeks.
Tag's bruising on his left side of his left foot.

Galentine's

Lynnlee's friends had a Galentine's Party at Brooklyn's house. I'm so grateful they all have each other. The majority of them became friends in sixth grade. They have helped each other transition to middle school and hopefully through high school.

Music Room Wall Design

Marshall really got into project mode. After finishing both back splashes, he tackled the wall in the music room. It was so plain before. We saw this pattern at the model home. He copied it for our wall. I love how it turned out!

Just Add Chocolate

We gave Cam and Brooke a date night to Just Add Chocolate for their Christmas present. We joined them for their date. We had dinner at Taqueria 27 before. Then we indulged in chocolate. You could dip things, make different flavors of cups, like a peanut butter cup, or make regular chocolates.

We did a variety and got a little bit of everything.
