Primary Program

Tag and Sienna participated in the primary program. It went well and they weren't shy about saying their parts. One more year to go in primary and then we will be moving up.

 

Gingerbread Festival and Christmas Tree Lighting

While James was at Sadie's I took the others and London to the Outlet Mall. Marshall was gone to the BYU game. It was so cold. We did the gingerbread scavenger hunt and froze. Lynnlee and her friends stayed for the Christmas tree lighting. 

It was fun still even though it was so cold!

Sadie's Girls Choice Dance

James went to Sadie's with Lizzie Devereux. She is in one of his classes but otherwise he didn't know her. He was excited to go to the dance with her and get to know her better. 

The theme was Out of this World so their group was the Tune Squad on Space Jam.

After the dance they played games at someone's house and had dessert. James said it was a fun date!

Improv Broadway

Our Get Out Pass included Improv Broadway. We couldn't get tickets ahead of time and when I contacted them they just said to show up at 7:15. The show started at 7:30 so I thought that seemed a little tight. We got there at 6:55 and it was a ghost town. The place was closed with all of the lights off, no cars in the parking lot, and we were the only ones around. It wasn't looking good. We waited in the car for 7:00 thinking they might turn lights on but nothing happened. One car pulled up and a group of people got out and waited by the door. Then a few minutes later another car pulled up and more people lined up. We all quickly got out and joined the mass that was starting to form by the dark door. At 7:15 the lights finally turned on. By 7:20 they opened the doors and we all went in Black Friday style and it was madness. We all got our seats and then the show started. It ended up being pretty fun and family friendly but just really funny chaotic to start.

Pedicures

We wanted to get pedicures when the boys went hunting but it didn't make sense to get them done at that time when we would be wearing socks and shoes. We decided to wait and go the weekend before going to Florida. That was much better so we could have pretty toes while we were on vacation and wearing sandals all of the time.

Sandy Classic Skating

We are trying to use our Get Out Pass as much as possible. We went to the Sandy Classic Skating. There were so many crazy kids there causing crashes. It was so dangerous and I was worried someone would break a wrist. We saw many little kids take out other kids and adults. Kade was taken out but thankfully just a few bumps and bruises. 

Half way through the night the DJ said Black Ridge Elementary was there and then it made sense why there were so many crazy little kids. I question the IQ of some of those kids. We've been to a lot of skating rinks in the last few years and it has never been like that before.

November Birthdays

We hosted November birthdays. We had copy cat Cafe Rio sweet pork. Mmmmm! It was a fun night all together with those of us living in Utah. 

Kid table is shrinking as everyone grows up!

Deacon's Temple Trip

Marshall took the Deacon's quorum on a temple trip. They went to 5 temples in two days. They left Friday when the boys got out of school. They went to the St. George Temple first.

Saturday morning they got up early and went to the Red Cliffs Temple in St. George.

Next was Cedar City.

Then Manti.

They ended the night at the Payson Temple. They made great memories and got a lot of temple work done.

Football Game Concessions

Cross country had another night in the concessions. Marshall was gone with Kade. Lynnlee, Sienna, and Tag came with me and volunteered. They had fun but it was very long so they were more than ready to be done by the end of the night. Thankfully we got to take home lots of food and treats so that made up for it.

Cross Country Banquet

James got many awards at his XC banquet. It was less like a banquet and more just an awards night. They only had dessert and then gave out awards. James got a varsity letter and other participation awards. 

They did a funny one where they chose a spirit animal for some of the runners. James was given a panda because he is a gentle peacemaker and strong.

Hallow-Turkey Challenge

Cousins joined us again for the Hallow-turkey challenge. It was very competitive and fun! Clay came too and was the judge.

Dress Ups

I don't know what gave us the idea but Lynnlee and Sienna wanted to try on my wedding dress. I thought I had it in my closet. I unzipped the bag and realized it was a formal dress. They had fun trying it on instead.

Scenery

I always love a beautiful sunrise or sunset. It is one of the treats of running early.

I like how the trees frame Timpanogos. I can't get enough of that mountain.
