Beauty and the Beast

The girls and I met up with all of the Lowry girls to see Beauty and the Beast. It was a snowy day but thankfully that didn't keep us from going.

We really enjoyed the play and were so amazed at the stage and props at Hale Center theater!

The girls at intermission.
We all went to Chick Fil A after.  It was so nice of Dellene to treat all of us to a fun day!

JA Biz Town

Sienna and Tag had the best field trip to JA Biz Town. I was a chaperone. It was probably my most favorite field trip that I've ever chaperoned. It was basically like a mini city that the kids got to run. Every kid had a role and purpose and once they received instructions they were on their own to do their job. It was nice as a chaperone not having to keep kids on task or keep them all together. They all got Chick-Fil-A for lunch as part of their work day. It was such a fun place and learning experience for them. Sienna worked at Megaplex.

Tag worked at JA Marketplace helping with finances.

There was also a mini Zions bank, Wells Fargo, Maverick Convenience Store, News Station, Utilities, Radio Station, etc. They wouldn't let us take pictures with other kids in it so I didn't get to take pictures of all of the other cute businesses.

Sibling Calls

Something good that has come from my dad's stroke is that my siblings have connected more. We have had a few zoom calls together and it's pretty special.

Guacamole Queen and Puzzle Queen

We discovered Sienna is the best at making guacamole. Her guacamole is seriously so good! Lately we buy avocados during he week so they are ripe by Sunday. Then she makes it for an after church snack. Mmmmm!

We had a chill Sunday where everyone had fun making different creations with the different connector pieces.
Mini french fries out of the puzzle connector pieces.
Papa Kelly gave us a Robo Rail and the boys had so much fun with it!
Lynnlee is the puzzle queen. This puzzle from the Beach Bazaar was so tricky!

James's President's Cup

James's soccer team played in the President's Cup in Mesquite. As a team they decided to have it be a team travel instead of individuals going with families. So they drove in vans together, stayed in Airbnb's together, ate meals together, etc. A few moms went as chaperones. It was so weird sending James off and not going with him. In the past this tournament was a fun moms and sons trip for his teammates and their mom and me. Also in the past his team lost all of their games so we never got to stay through Monday. This year they won or tied so they got to play Monday.

We were able to watch some of the games live through streaming. Unfortunately his back was hurting him and by the last game he didn't get to play much because he was in too much pain.

They won a few of their games and got to advance to the semi finals.

It was over Martin Luther King Jr. so they had a break Sunday with no games, and got to go to church. Monday was their semi-finals. They got home Monday around dinner time. That was one good thing about not making it to the finals. The final game was Monday night so he would have gotten home really late.

The Milkshake Factory

We got a gift card for Christmas from the Tibbs for the Milkshake Factory. Marshall and I tried it out. It was fun to try and yummy. We took some chocolate bark back to the kids for a treat.

Pete's Formal

James wasn't planning on going to Pete's and then the week of a friend asked him if he would ask a certain girl so she could go with her friends. So it was very last minute but he put this poster together and put some packages of popcorn with it.

She answered back the next night. We all enjoyed the gummy frogs.

The boys in the group are boys James plays soccer with. They went to an escape room for their day date. They went out to dinner in Sandy and then went to the dance.
After the dance they watch a movie at one of their houses. James was a good sport to go even though he wasn't close with any of them and they are all a lot different than he is.

Kangaroo Zoo

Sienna won passes to Kangaroo Zoo in a drawing at school. We took friends and went over Christmas break. Flora and Sienna were super silly!

New Year's Eve

The pictures loaded in reverse order. Ugh, oh well. We had a great day and filled with tons of fun! We went ice skating, ate lunch at Dairy Keen, sat in the hot pots, had Chinese takeout, watch Wicked and rang in the new year with Charlie's family and Betsy.

My mom and dad brought everyone hot chocolate and visited all of us while we were ice skating. It was so good to see my dad out and about.

If you look at the pictures in the post in reverse order it makes more sense. It was a very memorable new Year's Eve!

Lynnlee, Ashlyn, and Lydia went to the stake dance in Heber. They had a fun time!
