Syracuse Temple

We went to the Syracuse Temple open house. It was an hour drive so I hadn't made it a priority to go. Lynnlee is the best though and encouraged us to go. We didn't have a reservation but just showed up and the wait wasn't too bad. We waited for about a half hour or so. I was doing homework on my phone so I didn't mind waiting. It was beautiful and worth the wait. There are two baptismal fonts so that is cool.

Splash Summit

It really feels like summer when you can go to the water park. Last summer started off too cold. I was happy it was nice and hot so we could go. Tag and Kade were buddies and Sienna and I were buddies. It wasn't too crowded so we got to do all of the slides and it was so fun!

Memorial Day

We haven't been good about visiting the cemetery on memorial day. Some years it works out and other years it doesn't. This year it didn't. We celebrated memorial day with family at Manila Pond in Pleasant Grove. This year Lynnlee brought Bailey and Hannah. Ali, Dan and Drew came. Betsy and my parents came. Grace and her friend Claire were there. It was a fun filled day! We were there from 11-4. The water was a little lower so that was disappointing but we still had fun paddle boarding, kayaking, and playing in the sand. It was so nice of Ali to drive to Heber and pick up my parents and then take them back home after. I was hoping everyone could come over for hot dogs and brats after but only Grace, Claire, and Lynnlee's friends came. It was still fun though. We played lots of Jack Box.

Sienna saw her friend Flora there and so they got to play together all day.
Drew was an awesome cousin and played in the sand with Kade and Tag. They loved it and I appreciated that he wasn't "too cool" to play with the younger cousins. James was in St. George with friends for Jesse's senior trip so we missed having him there with us!

RSL Game

We went to the RSL game. The kids all get in for free because they each got a free ticket from UYSA. James couldn't come at the last minute so Kade brought a friend. Tag saw his friend Cole there so they had fun playing the games around the plaza before the game started. We got there early so we had plenty of time to walk around.

We played Canada. The game started off with a bang and RSL scored 2 goals in the first three minutes. It was amazing. We were sitting up the goal so we saw them close up.
Then the momentum shifted and Canada ended up scoring a few goals and won the game. It was such a bummer!

Lynnlee's formal night at Olive Garden

One of Lynnlee's friends hadn't been to Olive Garden so they all planned to have dinner there on the last day of school. That afternoon someone had the idea to wear formals to dinner. Everyone agreed and so they all scrambled to find a fancy dress. Lynnlee wore my old dance dress, and Hannah borrowed one we got from Katelyn. Their friend McKayla wanted to go to dinner but dress casual so she did and they were all good with that.

Marshall took Sienna out for dinner because this was the night I was gone to the team party for Kade and everyone else was off doing stuff except for Marshall and Sienna.

Last Day of School

The top row of pictures is from the last day, and the bottom row is from the first day. You can tell because everyone cared about their hair and outfits on the first day of school. On the last day everyone was in summer mode and didn't care as much.

Lynnlee, James, and Kade didn't go to school on the last day because they didn't need to or want to. James took Lynnlee and her friends to do baptisms.

Then he drove them to Waffle Love.

We met up and took pictures. Lynnlee and her friends have a picture from this spot for the last three years. They stand in the same place and try to recreate it every year. It's pretty great! (See above)
I need to find the picture of Kade and Jackson and insert it here. They went to Waffle Love with us for the first shift. Tag and Sienna went to school. We took them to Waffle Love around 10:00. We saw Cosmo the Cougar on our way. Sienna was saying hi out the window so he said hi back. It was super cool!

We got to the Waffle Love in A.F. that we had just been to and took this picture. Then we found out they were out of waffle dough. We weren't sure what to do because they said they would have more in an hour. I decided to take them to the Waffle Love in Draper instead of waiting.
There was no one at this location so they had plenty of dough. I don't think it was the last day of school for schools in Draper. It was fun sitting outside and it was a beautiful morning. We might want to consider going to Draper instead in the future.
Lynnlee's friends came over after and they all fit in the top of the tree house! They had fun chatting it up.

Kade and the Y

Marshall and Kade met up with the Deacon's quorum after Kade's soccer tryouts and hiked the Y. The quorum got about a half hour head start. Kade ran up the whole trail and made it to the top before them. Haha, so fun!

Lehi Legacy Center 5k

I love the Lehi Legacy Center members' 5k. I always love when it works out for us to participate. Last year I don't think we got to do it but this year we did, well most of us. I was buddies with Sienna. We brought up the rear. James was the front man and won the whole race. Tag was Mr. speedy not too far behind. Drew got roped into it because he stayed the night, haha. Marshall planned to stay with Tag but ended up a little behind him. Lynnlee was home resting and Kade was preparing for two soccer games for the day.

Sienna was making me laugh. She brought slime to hold during the race to keep her hands busy. She was also wearing a music headband.

It was a cloudy morning so the temperature was perfect! It was another fun morning!

Kade's Soccer

Kade wrapped up the spring season for both teams. He still loves soccer and is hoping to keep training hard so he can make the high school team in a year and a half. Starting in the fall he will play for a new team for LaRoca and then also a AA team with some friends. I think it will be a good variety.

His team party was a week later at Mulligan's. They played soccer golf and had pizza. I helped with it and I was feeling discouraged at first because I had planned to pick up the pizza and have it ready for them when they finished soccer golf. When we got to Mulligan's they told us tee time was actually 6:46 not 6:00 and we were there at 5:45. I didn't know what we were going to do for an hour and also didn't know how that would work for the pizza. I had scheduled with Costco to pick it up at 7:00 so I could have it back to Mulligan's. I said a prayer that everything would work out. The team manager and I decided we flip the order and eat first. I called Costco and asked if they could make it sooner. They said the would try. Then I drove there and paid for the pizza and talked to a worker who said they would try and have it out sooner. The employees there were so awesome and had the pizza out by 6:20. I took it to Mulligans and the boys had just enough time to eat before tee time. It worked out well and my prayer was answered!

We were split into 2 groups of 6. I walked with Kade's group and the team manager walked with the other group.
They were so funny to watch! They all really got into it and made it a fun activity.

Kade won't be playing with this team again because the team will only play in the fall and then it changes for high school tryouts and provisional. We wanted Kade to have the same coach for a whole year. He will miss playing with all of these guys!

James's Soccer

James is enjoyed playing on the high school team even though it was a roller coaster. He started off the season playing Varsity and he got to play in four or five games. Then he bumped down and played JV and that was fun too mostly There was less pressure and more of his friends were on JV.  As the season went on he didn't always get the playing time he deserved so that was frustrating. He got to play the last regular game of the season due to a red card and injury or something. He played so well and did an amazing job. The team won and he played a part in that. That allowed him to dress for the first state playoff game. That was exciting too. He only got to play a few minutes each half of that game. We were grateful he had the opportunity so we aren't complaining but I was annoyed that the coach didn't make any changes and sub more even since the whole game was the same thing over and over again. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. That is totally what the game was. The starting line up were flat on their feet, didn't seem hyped or energetic and so I felt like they needed to switch things up. Anyways, that is just my personal opinion.

When James played Varsity he got to start two of the games. That meant he got to go out on the field and have his name announced. SO that was definitely a highlight!

We left too fast for James to get a pic with his friends but he would have been in this picture if he didn't have a XC meeting to get to.
