Lowry Doors 75th

Lowry Door celebrated their 75th anniversary! That is quite the accomplishment! Marshall and his staff had a fun afternoon planned. Orem City had a representative there and they had a ribbon cutting.

There were streamers that popped out of a ring type of contraption. The kids loved them. Sienna especially loved them and collected all of the streamers.

Arctic Circle was also celebrating their 75th so they donated 75 shakes for the festivities. They also had sandwiches and chips, activities for the kids, and shirts and hats.

Aunt Kathy's Pool

Aunt Kathy hosted a pool party and invited the extended Jarvis family. It was so fun to see distant cousins and catch up with close cousins!

The food was good as always. The wasps were extra bad though. Marshall went to Smiths and bought wasp spray. He drained a whole can spraying it in the pool cover hole.

Utah Cup for Taggart and Murray Cup for Kade

Kade played in the Murray Cup with his newly organized team. It was a little rough. They have new soccer players mixed with experienced soccer players. They never game up though and that was inspiring. They lost all three games but still had a fun time playing soccer.

Tag played in the Utah Cup. I missed the first game because I was at camp. I made it to the rest of the games though. His team is very experienced and they won every game. It was very exciting!

YW Camp

Lynnlee went to YW camp at the end of July at the Heber Valley Camp. It was the same week Charlie's family was in town so she was sad to miss out on family fun like Lagoon and Splash Summit. Thankfully Lydia came a week early and so we got to do fun things. Lynnlee enjoyed being at camp with Hannah and Bailey. She got to do the ropes course, lake activities, Faith Walk and many other fun activities.

The camp directors approached me about a month before camp and asked if I would be a camp cook. They said they were having a hard time finding anyone and those who were called had dropped out for family reasons. I don't know how to say no and I even had lab on the Tuesday of camp. I thought if I told them I could come Monday and Wednesday but not Tuesday then they would say they would find someone else. That was not the case though. They were just happy I could be there Monday and Wednesday. They said they would take me the days I could. So I was totally stressing out about how I would get ahead of school enough so I could manage being gone a couple of days. Then I told Lynnlee I was going to camp and she was so excited! Then I knew I needed to go for her. The good news is that I ended up getting ahead on school. Monday I drove up bright and early. I took a car full of YCLs. I made lunch and dinner. There was some down time Monday afternoon between meals and I had time to study. I headed home that night right after dinner was cleaned up. I went back Wednesday morning. Thankfully there was help for breakfast so I got up there by 10 to start prepping lunch. Wednesday I had fun hanging out with the girls during the afternoon downtime.
The sunset was amazing on Wednesday night!

Lynnlee's group did a dance to "Run Away From Love." Tuesday night. I wasn't there but I heard it was good and this picture is awesome!
Tuesday was lake day and it was cloudy and cooler. I guess that is good because they weren't allowed to swim in the lake. Lynnlee and her friends had fun on the pedal boats. I always loved those when I was younger.
The pavilion was huge and so nice. The kitchen was also amazing! I'm hoping to schedule stake camp here for 2026. It would be amazing to have these resources. We could have some great meals together as a stake.
Wednesday night was testimony meeting. I wasn't sure if I should stay or not but then I decided to. I am so glad I did. It was amazing. Every leader testified to the girls of how much Heavenly Father loves them. We all sat in camping chairs around some lanterns. It was a really nice testimony meeting. Almost every person there bore their testimony.
I headed home that night and got home pretty late. It was good though. I had time the rest of the week to get my school work done and it ended up being a great week!
