Sunday Fun

We have a great friendship with James's soccer carpool. When he was 8, he started playing club soccer. Over the next few years we had a carpool with 5 other families. That went on until he was 16. We have had a few get togethers with the other families over the years. The moms have had girls trips during the Southern Utah soccer tournaments. They are amazing women who I enjoy spending time with. On Sunday, the Woods invited everyone over for dinner. I made my rolls. We had pulled pork. It was so good! It was fun catching up with everyone!

Sienna and I matched in color so naturally we had to get a selfie.

Homecoming

James and Lynnlee went to Homecoming with a Sister and Brother. Molly Goodrich is James's age and Colby is Lynnlee's age. They have been friends for the last few years. Their mom is in my presidency and they have all hung out when we have dessert nights and other hang outs. They had two other couples in their group. Miles and Hunter are both on cross country with James.

They went repelling for their day date.

Lynnlee found her dress at Lehi Bridal Center. It is on Main Street in Lehi and it was the second shop we went to. I am pro modesty so the dress had to have sleeves, had to be long enough to cover her thighs, and couldn't be low cut. I loved the dress she picked out!
I still need to up my game with making sure James has something to wear. I did not help him prepare for prom and so I wanted to be ready this dance. He has a gray suit so I thought he was good. Then the day before I realized he should wear black so he could match his date better. He did not have black dress pants so he had to borrow Marshall's. It all worked out in the end but I should have thought about it sooner and ordered black pants for him from Amazon.

Thanks to Megan for taking these awesome pictures in front of her house.

Miles's dad took pictures by Utah Lake.

They had dinner at Hunter's house. They said it was so fun and they all had a good time visiting. They went to the dance and then came to our house for the after party. They had ice cream sundaes, played games and stayed until 1:00am. James said it was the most fun he has had so far and Lynnlee said it was so fun for her first date ever! Molly has a boyfriend so for James is was a no pressure, hanging out with a friend, easy to talk because it was all fun and no stress.
I'm so happy James and Lynnlee could have this experience together.

James's TwiKnight XC Race

James ran TwiKnight XC Race at Art Dye park. He had a cold so it wasn't a PR but he was still second on the team so that was positive. His time was still fast too, just not a record for him. He was 15th place and his time was 15:38. The race was on a Friday at 4:00 and everyone was anxious to get to the homecoming football game. We didn't get any pictures with the team. I took video but not pictures of him running during the race.

Gluten Free Expo

I went to the Gluten Free Expo with my sisters. It was so nice to have so many gluten free products in one location. The only tricky thing is that over the last few months I learned that I also can't have corn. So at the expo I had to check every label for corn. That was not my favorite but I was amazed that I still found plenty of options without gluten and corn.

Sienna's Fall Soccer

Sienna's fall soccer schedule finished first out of all of her siblings. She enjoyed soccer this season. She had great coaches and the team improved leaps and bounds. The girls on the team were super nice to each other and they supported each other.

Rose's Lab at Weber

Lab at Weber was so fun!!! We practiced casts and splints. We practiced on each other and it was so fun!

I love my classmates so much. From left to right, Jackie, Tressa, and Mary. They are all so kind and so smart. I carpool with Jackie and Tressa and it has made the drive so much better and we talk so it goes by so quickly.

After we put on the casts, we used the cast saw to take them off. How funny to take a cast off while wearing a cast.
Megan is another amazing classmate. She works with Cameron so we took this picture and sent it to him.

Team Bonding

Team Bonding for James's and Tag's team.

Stacey's Couple Shower

There was a family couples shower for Stacey and Wes. James had a game. I picked up Betsy and we went together. My parents drove down and my dad has been doing great with driving. He and my mom switch off. It was a very fun shower getting to know Wes better. I am so happy for him and Stacey!

Chewie

It's been awhile since I've done a dump of photos of Chewie.

Joyce gave Chewie a blue sweater and this dress. So we had fun playing dress ups.

He enjoyed getting to go to a few soccer games this fall.

Tag's Game in Logan

Marshall took Tag to his game in Logan. Tag had a great game and scored 5 goals! The team got Aggie ice cream after the game. Yum!

James's Boarder Wars XC Race

All three boys had stuff at the same time on Saturday, Sept 13th. The plan was for Marshall to go to Logan to Tag's game, me to go to Price to Kade's game and my in-laws to go to Taylorsville for James's race. When I woke up that morning, I had a bad feeling about going to Price. I couldn't shake it. I went for my morning run and said a prayer that I would know what to do. I came home and told Marshall and even though I didn't have a concrete reason for not wanting to go to Price, he backed me up. I didn't have a bad feeling about Kade going. So we had Kade ride with his teammate. Kade was very easy going about me not going. As we were waiting for James's race to start, I found out it was raining in Price and lightning. Kade's game started and they played about 15 minutes and then lightning delayed the game and then they never got to finish playing because the lightning continued for hours. So I was so glad I didn't go because it would have been a waste of a trip. James ended up having his best race and got his fastest time for the season. I was so glad I didn't miss such a monumental race. This race he tried a new strategy. This time he went his own pace for the first mile. It was a slower pace and he was in a position farther back during that mile. Then mile 2 and 3 he turned on the jets and went a faster pace and passed a lot of runners. He got 11th place and his time was 15:24! His new strategy worked!

This was a huge race with a lot of schools and a lot of runners! Top 20 got a medal.
Lynnlee came with me so that was so fun to have her with me!
