My Annual Increase

Life has dealt us some rough cards lately but luckily there's been some positive in between. Something fun was my birthday landing the day before Mother's Day so it was a really exciting weekend. Since Marshall has been so busy with work I decided I would plan what I wanted to do on my birthday. I had it all figured out and then Marshall surprised me Thursday night with all new plans. I loved it of course and was excited even though it was a little different than what I had planned. I grew up with my Dad surprising my Mom so naturally I love having a husband who surprises me for special occasions.

The weekend started out Friday with my in-laws picking up James and Lynnlee and taking them to their house. I had a few hours to myself to pamper myself and take a nap. Then Marshall picked me up at 5 and we headed to the Provo Beach Resort. It is a new place at the Riverwoods Mall. It is so much fun. We did the ropes course which was part of my original birthday plan. Even though I'm terrified of heights I really wanted to try it. I'm so glad I did because it wasn't too bad.

We played some arcade games and then took cheesy pictures on the surf board. It would make a classic date dance picture.

After we grabbed dinner at one of my favorite places, Pita Pit. I really don't like the name of their restaurant but I love their pita sandwiches. We ate them on the road because Marshall had surprised me with a get-a-way to Manti. Now I know that doesn't sound as good as Park City or St. George but we have never been to Manti together.

We stayed at a cute little Inn. Saturday morning we did a session at the temple. It is a beautiful temple with lots of history and one of the last to have live sessions so it was pretty special. We took pictures around the temple after. (don't look too close at my pasty, white, winter skin :)

We drove back to Heber that afternoon. My Mom planned a special family birthday party just for me! Thanks Mom! We went to the park after dinner. Lynnlee loves riding in the wagon with Lydia.

Thanks Lovest for the great weekend!
