Bear Lake Family Vacation

We were so lucky to get to spend a week at Bear Lake. We stayed at Ideal Beach and had a fun condo to stay in, grass to play on, play ground, beach, and a really warm pool. The high for the week was 74 so we didn't swim in the lake but had fun with all of the other activities. On the warmest day we paddled the kayaks around the shore. We spend a majority of the time in the really warm pool. It felt so nice we never wanted to get out.

We played in the sand when we weren't in the pool. Lynnlee built this sand castle the night we got there and it was still there in the morning.

This is the view if you walked straight out to the sand from the back of our condo.

There was a big pool, a kiddie pool and a hot tub.

Every morning I went out for a bike ride and sometimes a run. The views were beautiful.

There was a place for everyone to sleep. The girls shared a queen bed in the bedroom. The boys had the family room. James was happy to have the couch.

The hammock was stretchy. It's hard to see in the picture but Kaden is a few inches off the ground.

There is a fish pond two miles away. We went on a family bike ride to see it.

There was a swing set and this for a play ground I guess.

The minis loved the kiddie pool!

The main store/rental office had chess, ping pong, and a toddler play area.

It was a very relaxing week. Eating, sleeping, and swimming.

Another view one morning.

Thursday we changed things up and went to the Minnetonka cave. The cave is 40 degrees so everyone wore pants and a sweatshirt.
It is a really cool cave! It's a half mile in. I was happy with my kids for walking through it and the minis only needed carried a few times.
Then we hiked another trail after in the same canyon. We saw a lot of purple butterflies along the way and Sienna loved them. She said, "I have to have them!"

I took food for all of the meals but ended up going out one night. Luckily we were the only ones in the restaurant because everyone was bouncing off the walls.

Beckie's family stayed Thursday and Friday. It was so fun to hang out and have cousin time.

Marshall gets extra points for packing the trailer with our bikes, kayaks and coolers. It was not an easy job.
