Florida: Thursday - Tuesday

Thanksgiving morning started off early. The majority of us ran a 5K in Sarasota. When Katelyn told us about the 5k I was thinking small town race. Little did we know it was a very big race and there were thousands of runners. It was definitely the biggest 5K I've ever done. I wasn't in running shape because I have this hamstring injury that was injured worse when I did the flow rider on the cruise. My stomach was also in bad shape so I decided to run last minute but it was pretty rough. I had to make a bathroom stop half way through the race.

Lynnlee, Sienna, and Marshall cheered on the boys and me. Katelyn and James were so fast and did a great job!
The fog was so crazy at the start of the race.

Ali and I ran the first half together. Charlie and I ran the last half mile together. The fog cleared and the sun came out by the end. Kade and Tag ran hard and did well.
We made it back to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner. We all made a couple of dishes. We ate at Aunt Donna's club house. Some of Aunt Donna's friends joined us.
This picture made me laugh because it looks like they are all being antisocial but actually they are playing photo roulette together and laughing their heads off.
While we were setting up we received bad news that my dad was in the hospital with blood in his urine. It was so hard not to be with him and hard not to have my dad, mom, and Betsy with us.

Jack and Savannah moved to Savannah, Georgia in the fall and so they were able to join us for Thanksgiving! It was so fun to have them with us.

Aunt Donna, some friends, Melissa and Melissa' mom.
We had a fun gathering with all of the yummy Thanksgiving dishes.

After dinner a majority of the group played pickle ball, I watched the kids in the pool and also took a nap.

I love a pretty cotton candy sky.
That night Angeline took the teenagers to see Wicked. Jack, Savannah, and Grace went too. It was a late movie and so they didn't get back until 1:00am!

Friday we had a lazy morning and then went to the beach. Katie's family took off so we were sad to say goodbye to them.
We wanted to play plenty of Vorball with Jack and Savannah so we went to Siesta Key Beach.

It was a cloudy day and much cooler so I was happy we had Vorball to keep us warm.
We went to Olafs that night and got a few things at the market.

Saturday was a cooler day again so we went shark tooth hunting at Casperson. Everyone found at least one shark tooth so that was fun. This sign always makes me feel a little uneasy.
The smallest shark tooth found.
Saturday night we went to Kilwins for our nightly ice cream stop. We said bye to Charlie's family that night. We were sad to say goodbye.
Sunday we went to the Sarasota ward with Ali's family. We spent the afternoon at the beach and then took it easy that night.

There were a few preachers on the beach and the kids got hats from one of them.
Monday morning we stopped and got this picture as we drove out of town.
We made a stop at Splash to get one more thing. Their signs were so entertaining.
We drove to Ft. Lauderdale Monday, stayed the night and then had an early flight Monday morning. The kids were back home by 11:00 Tuesday morning and so some of them went to school. It was so hard to get back to real life.
This picture is totally out of order. On Sunday the boys were feeding the birds and Marshall got this action shot.
