Dude Perfect!!!

We have been waiting two years to see Dude Perfect. We had tickets to see them in San Antonio and then Covid cancelled their show. The good thing about waiting is that they added a show in Salt Lake so we didn’t have to go to Texas. Betsy worked in the lounge right above our seats so that was super fun!

We had an extra ticket so Lynnlee brought her friend Brooklyn.

We loved the show!!! So fun!!! Felt like we were at a live filming of their YouTube Channel. 

The best part was that it was clean, funny, and entertaining for the whole family! 

I also have to add that after the show was over they spent a few minutes talking about their faith, bearing testimony for Jesus Christ and then ended with a prayer. I was so amazed that they weren’t afraid to talk about it and be open. It reminded me of a scripture 2 Tim 1:8 “be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord…”

If only I could be brave and share my testimony openly like they did. 

Running Camp

Sienna’s friend invited her to do running camp this summer. It was two days a week for about six weeks. They started at a Evergreen Park in AF. They ran around the park and neighborhood, played games, water games one day, and a race on the last day.

On the last day you could run all the races: 50m dash, 1/2 mile, and 1 mile or choose. At first Sienna only wanted to do the 50m. Then her friend encouraged her to run the mile with her so she did. 

It was a very hot day but they both finished the mile in about 10 minutes and then ran the 50m. 

Sienna wasn’t always excited to go to camp but then after she was glad she went. She doesn’t love running which I don’t blame her, most kids like to do something while running like soccer, basketball, etc. 

Overall a good experience but I don’t see her doing it next year. Fun to try though!

Sienna’s Cousin Sleepover

Sienna doesn’t have a cousin her age that is a girl on my side of the family. Conner is the closest but he’s Taggart’s buddy. Ivy is next and even though there is 5 years age difference, Sienna loves playing with her.

Sienna got to have a sleepover at Grandma’s with Ivy for a few nights. They had so much fun!

Sienna at Claire’s

The rule at our house is that you don’t get your ears pierced until you are eight. This was really hard for Sienna because some of her friends already have their ears pierced. 

Once she turned eight she was so excited to get them pierced. We had her wait until after her baptism. The second lunch was over we headed to Claire’s. She was really tough and didn’t cry. She chose the birthstone for July for her studs.

Surf Invitational

We wondered if a day would come when Drew would play James in soccer. He was born a year later so in the regular season they haven’t played each other.

The day came for them to play each other because Drew’s team played in a higher bracket at the Surf Invitational. They faced off with James playing forward and Drew playing goalie. James had some shots but Drew blocked them. The game ended in a tie. Even though I think James’s team should have won. (We led the game) as far as cousin relations go, a tie kept the feelings happy.

James’s team ended up losing the first game, tying the second, and losing the last game. The team has a lot of potential but they are still learning how to play together. 

It was sad that they didn’t have the outcome we wanted at the tournament. Hopefully they improve at the next tournament!

Taggart's and Sienna's Baptisms

Taggart and Sienna made a choice that they want to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ. They were baptized and confirmed by Marshall. It was a very special day. We had lots of family and friends supporting them. 

 

Sienna wore a special baptism dress made by Aunt Ali. It was also worn by her cousins and Lynnlee.

Their friend was also baptized that day too.

Kade’s 10th Birthday

Kade is 10!!

This year he decided he likes going by Kade not Kaden. Totally fine with me. I love shortening names. So to celebrate Kade’s birthday we went to Hang Time. It’s a non friend party year but he got to bring his best friend with us.

They jumped and climbed for two hours and then came back that night and jumped another two hours!! So much fun!!

We had birthday dinner at Chuck-A-Rama. A random customer sitting next to us sang to him with her fiancé on FaceTime. That was very unique and memorable. A couple of waitresses also sang to him.

He got a pedal scooter. It’s kind of like an elliptical and you pedal up and down to propel the scooter and have to balance yourself while going. 

Kade is so excited to be double digits and stay up later with the “big kids.” He is doing more big kid things each day. He is kind and funny. He loves making everyone laugh. He also loves to scare me.

Minis' 8th Birthday

Taggart and Sienna are 8!!!

I still think of them as babies but they are so big now they can go on all the rides at Lagoon. We have been enjoying our season passes this summer. We went to Lagoon to celebrate their birthdays and had so much fun going on all the rides together!

Each year they trade-off going into each others room to open their presents. This year it was Sienna’s turn to be in her room. Marshall carried Taggart in half asleep that morning.

Lynnlee helped make and frost this awesome cake! Sienna requested a watermelon cake and Taggart requested soccer. Since we didn’t need two cakes, no friend parties this year, we combined them into one.

People ask me if Tag and Sienna are best buddies. I always say yes because they have a twin bond, they are each other’s favorites, and they have each other’s backs. But, when it comes time to play time, Taggart wants to play with his best friend Marvel and Sienna wants to play with Ava, Claire or Karagan. They have their individual personalities and preferences.
