Moving Update

Ok so in January I posted that we were moving or at least we had put our condo up for sale. It's a tough economy for selling right now so after 4 months it hasn't sold. We've gotten really close at times but it just hasn't gone through. Last Wednesday we decided we would rent it out but keep it on the market. Not even 24 hours since posting the ad, we had 4 phone calls with interested people. The first couple that came and saw it wanted to rent it but didn't want it to be on the market. We worked out a deal and so they will rent it and we'll take it off the market for now.
So you're probably wondering where we are going from here. Well, with the sale of our house we were planning to get into a house in Lehi but without the sale of our house we aren't quite ready to get a house in Lehi. As you know, Marshall's parents are currently serving a mission in Russia and have an open basement. We have decided to move there for the summer and hopefully move to Lehi in August.

"Did I hear a niner in there..."

James is 9 months old and the biggest change at this point is that his reflux or GERD has gotten so much better, it's pretty much gone. When he was 3 weeks old his reflux started and it was awful. He went through a couple of outfits everyday not to mention cleaning it off the carpet, crib, etc. He was like a volcano because you never knew when he would errupt. Many times I would be sitting in church and next thing I knew I was drenched. At one point we started keeping an ice cream bucket near by and he would spit up into that. This picture was taken when he was 2 months old. I know there are worse things than a child with GERD but it definitely makes life interesting.

I didn't know how I was going to get through the next 7 months when the doctor told me his GERD would get better when he was 9 months old. 9 months....that's how long I was pregnant for and that went by so slow! Luckily time has gone by fast since James was born and I really can't believe he is 9 months old.

James got to play with some of his cousins to celebrate 9 months. He had to be supervised because he kept trying to clobber Miriel and steal her toys.

Katelyn and Sid love to dress up in their princess gowns. Too bad I couldn't get all of them to look at the camera at the same time.
After lunch we all went to the park by Katie's house. It was such a beautiful day.
James had fun playing with Marshall when he got home from work.

He's sneaky and mischevious already. We have to keep an eye on him or else he is pulling all of the kleenex out of the box, unrolling the toilet paper, etc. I love this picture of him. It's like he's saying, "What, me? I would never do those things."
Happy 9 months! The experience has been much better with you out of the womb versus your nine months inside the womb!

Weekend in St. George

We went to St. George for the weekend to visit Marshall's sister Miranda and her family and also to celebrate my birthday. We got to St. George Thursday night. Marshall took me to dinner and to see Brian Regan at The Tuacahn that night. Thanks Miranda for watching James!

Brian Regan was hilarious and I laughed the whole time. The opening act for Brian was Kermit Adeo. He was really funny too. I totally could relate to all the parenting jokes and at one point Kermit said, "It's great being a parent. I feel so proud to have a one year old boy, not only because he's one year old but because I can now say I've kept another human being alive for ONE WHOLE YEAR!" I feel that way with James sometimes. He's been sick a lot over the last couple of months, he gets a lot of bumps and bruises but he's tough and still kicking.

James had a cold last week but was starting to feel better when we left to St. George. Little did we know he had passed his germs on to us. Friday morning Marshall woke up feeling really yucky and I got pink eye! I've never had pink eye before and it was miserable. We didn't let our ailments stop us from enjoying our trip. We went hiking in Zion's with Miranda, Eric, Gavin and Maya. Miranda is 7 months pregnant so Eric and Gavin hung back with her while the rest of us went for a hike. James rode in the hiking pack with Marshall. He loved it and he could see a lot.

Maya was a good hiker and kept up with us.

Saturday we went swimming. It was a beautiful day. My eye was already feeling better and Marshall just took it easy. We were entertained by Maya and Gavin.

Sunday we went to church with Miranda and then left to drive home. It was really weird celebrating Mother's Day without either of our Mom's since they are both serving missions. Now that I'm a mom I definitely appreciate my mom more than ever. I hope all of the Mom's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Monday morning Marshall went into see the doctor because he felt worse and had a fever. We found out he has a sinus infection. I'm amazed how tough he was the whole weekend and willing to still have fun even though he wasn't feeling well. He's one tough cookie! Thanks Sweetie for the fun weekend!

Hogle Zoo

Saturday we went to the zoo with Bonnie, Ryan, and Kjersti. The weather was a little crazy. When it was raining we would look at the indoor exhibits and then when the rain stopped we were able to check out the other animals. James and Kjersti seemed to like it. Some how I managed to stay out of all the pictures.

Tight Spaces

James doesn't like to cuddle or be held close but for some reason he loves tight spaces when he plays.

The Purple Trees

There are two beautiful purple trees in front of our church. Every year we always say we are going to take pictures of them but we never do. Finally this year we made the effort. As you know we are trying to move so we decided we had to take pictures this year.
