Krispy Kreme

We haven't been inside Krispy Kreme to watch the donuts being made since James was in preschool. It's been on my list of places to go this summer. We weren't sure if they would be making donuts the afternoon we went but were hoping. The hot light wasn't on when we pulled up so I told my kids we wouldn't get to see them being made but since we had driven down we could still get a donut. It was our lucky day because they started making them right when we got inside. All five were so entertained and so excited!

It was a little crazy waiting in line after with the minis running around like wild chimps. I've definitely gotten used to the stares when we go out. We all enjoyed a donut after. Taggart liked dipping his in water first. Yuck!

Moments like these make the rest of the craziness of the day worth it! James was so cute and remembering going to Krispy Kreme in preschool. He told me how much he has loved his childhood and how it makes him so happy thinking about it. Then he said it also makes him sad because preschool is past now but he enjoyed it so much. I told him not to worry because he still has a lot of childhood left to enjoy. Ha ha, funny kid.
