We found an open campsite in Monticello. I was not familiar with Monticello. The campground website said it was close to Arches and Canyonlands. We booked it and made plans with Marshall’s parents, Bonnie’s family and Miranda’s family to all stay there as well.
Monticello is closer to Arches and Canyonlands than Lehi is 😆 but turns out it’s still an hour to and hour and a half drive from Monticello. 🤪 Monticello isn’t that exciting of a small town so driving was a requirement each day for entertainment.
We checked in to our campsite Thursday night. It was freezing cold!!! We went to Lloyd’s lake and some fished, some stayed warm in the car and Miranda and I walked around the whole lake to stay warm. It was a beautiful night with the moon lighting our way. It was very cold.
Friday we drove to Moab and hiked to Corona Arch. It was a fun and easy hike. It was chilly but not too cold.
Marshall and Gavin hiked to the top of the Arch. They are teeny tiny on top and hard to see in the picture.
