Ensenada

When we got to deck nine Wednesday morning we discovered hundreds of towel animals and minions.

View from the track of the port of Ensenada. I loved seeing a soccer field.

We had an surfing excursion. We checked in and then had time to take some pictures while we waited.
We rode a bus about fifteen minutes away to a nearby beach. We could see the ship from the beach. I was so grateful we got to wear wet suits. It was a foggy/cloudy day and not really warm.
We loved the surfing lessons. The instructors were awesome. On the shore we stretched and then were taught all of the steps to paddle, get up on the board, and where to stand on the board. We practiced at least ten times on the beach on our surf boards. Then we took turns going in the water with an instructor. They helped us get out, turn around, told us when to paddle, and helped balance the board so we could stand and surf. It was so fun!

Everyone stood at least once. Marshall, James, Kade and Tag did the best job. Marshall and James enjoyed it the most and surfed the longest. Marshall got to the point where he could surf without an instructor. He did awesome! These are the instructors and photographer:
They took us back to the ship but we wanted to do some shopping. We walked to the shops and enjoyed walking around. Marshall was the best at bargaining. He helped each kid get the souvenir they wanted for the lowest possible price.

We took a carriage ride back to the ship from the shops.

We got back on the ship around 4:00 and went to the ropes course.

Ice cream break...
That night we went to a show and some of the kids went to the kids club. It's a little bit of a blur. I can't really remember. Every night there was a movie on the deck by the pool on the big screen. I think we watched part of the movie.
