7 Elite Tournament for Kade and Tag

Tag's team played in the 7 Elite Tournament in Mesquite. Kade was asked to guess play with Jeff but it would be in St. George. That is where age 12 and up play for that tournament. We told Jeff's team he could guess play and hoped the game times wouldn't overlap. I got to take them because Marshall was helping Cam out that weekend. I had booked a hotel at a casino in Mesquite but decided to change to St. George after Kade agreed to guest play. I felt much safer.

We arrived in St. George Thursday afternoon and went to the dinosaur museum. It was built around an actual excavation site with real dinosaur tracks. Once we realized that, we were way more impressed.

It was National Frozen Yogurt day and Menchie's had BOGO. It happened to be right next to the Dinosaur Museum.
We checked into our hotel after and had a little break to recharge. Then we went to dinner at Chick-Fil-A and onto Mesquite for Tag's game.
It was so windy there. Thankfully not too cold but the wind made the game super hectic. They did end up winning and Tag scored the first goal so it was even more exciting!
The wind was puffing up Kade's comfy and he looked so funny!
Friday morning I went for an early run. I ran towards the Red Cliffs Temple hoping to snap a picture but I took a wrong turn and ended up with another beautiful view.
Kade's first game was Friday morning. I love the beautiful red rock back drop to all of the games in Southern Utah.
After the game we had lunch at Smoked Taco and then went to Nielson's Frozen Custard.
Kade's second game was down the street at Sand Town Park. Tag loved playing in the trees.
It was go go go all day. We had a quick second for Kade to change after his game, which they won! Then I dropped him off at Big Shots for the team party. Jeff is so great to play fun activities for the team. They had pizza and enjoyed golfing. It's like Top Golf.
I took Tag to his game in Mesquite. We didn't get back until later so thankfully Kyson's mom took Kade to their condo until I got back. We went to Pinkbox because Tag scored at his second game too! His team won that game too!
Saturday morning I tried again to run to Red Cliffs Temple. I only had an hour so I had to be quick. I ran 30 minutes out and got so close to being able to see it. I looks like I just needed to go a tiny bit but it was deceiving. I kept just going a little further and a little further and still not getting there. I really needed to head back so this was the best picture I got. My kids asked why I didn't just climb the wall. In the picture the wall looks short. In reality it was 20 feet high and each step of the wall was at least 6 feet.
Kade's game Saturday morning was in Hurricane. The boys had donuts for breakfast. They said they were really good.

Kade's team won their game! On to the finals!
We went to Tag's game in Mesquite. They won too so on to the finals!
It was a crazy day full of driving. Kade's final and Tag's final were the same time and in different states and time zones. Kade said I could go to Tag's since Kade was just guest playing. Tag's team Saturday night and won the game! It was so exciting!

Celso is on the right and is Tag's coach.
Kade's team ended up losing but they took second so that is something to celebrate. They got second place medals.
Originally, we were planning on heading home Saturday night. Tag and I got back to St. George at 8:45. There was no way I could drive home after driving from Hurricane to Mesquite to St. George, to Mesquite, and then back to St. George. Thankfully the hotel had vacancy. It was fun to sit in the hot tub and have a chill night. We got up Sunday morning and drove back home. It was a beautiful sunny day and perfect for driving. It was such a fun weekend and even better with all of the wins!
