Prom for James and Lynnlee

Prom!

James asked Madi Ogden, a girl in our ward.

Lynnlee was asked last minute and when I say asked, it was more of a favor for my friend and presidency member Jeanne-Marie. Her son Nelson and his cousin were looking for dates. Lynnlee and her friend McKayla went. We found her dress the week of prom at a dress shop in Alpine.
James's group was all of his friends.

We hosted the after-party. They played games in the basement. It sounded like everyone had a fun time. They played in the court after.

BYU Language Fair

James and Lynnlee participated at the BYU language fair. Lynnlee took pictures so I thought it would be fun to post them. They had so much fun! Lynnlee loved hanging out with friends there.

Rose's Last Day of Lab at Weber

Lab this semester was rough. The first day of lab started on the first Monday in January, when my kids were home for their last day of winter break. It was a bummer leaving them. The things we learned in the labs this semester could have been done through an online video or at home. Thankfully, I have awesome friends and classmates, so it was always fun seeing and spending time with them. Jackie is on the far right, and Tressa is next to me to the left (my right). We carpooled, and it was fun. They are awesome ladies, and I enjoyed getting to know them better. Liv, who is on the far left in the picture. I met her at the lab, and she is very smart and kind. She didn't carpool with us, but we hung out at the lab.

After this semester, I have 3 semesters left, or 1 year. You would think that would feel really good, but it actually doesn't. I feel so tired of being stretched thin, writing papers, and doing homework every free minute. I'm just ready to be done, so knowing there is one more year is a bummer. It doesn't help to think that if I did a Master's program online, I would finish in 5 semesters. I just have to keep reminding myself that it will be worth it to have a doctorate and never have to go back. Also, this won't last forever. I just need to take it one day at a time.

Spring Break

We spent spring break at Brian Head. I had my last day of clinical on the Monday so we left Tuesday around lunch time. The care was full, every space filled with skis, boots, bags, groceries, and a cooler. Marshall is the puzzle packing wizard.

We soaked up every minute with James knowing it would be our last spring break with him for 2 years. Also, this was a random chair in the bathroom for getting ready.
The Airbnb we stayed in was older but still clean and nice. We had plenty of room to eat around the table, watch movies in the family room and there were two bathrooms.

We had cereal for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and dinners included chili in soup bowls, walking tacos, spaghetti and Lynnlee's homemade mac n cheese. So we ate well!
We skied hard everyday from 10-4 and then enjoyed the hot tub, pool, and sauna during the night.
It seriously was so fun playing games in the pool together.

There was enough snow to be open but only two lifts were open. Every day more snow melted and it felt like the resort would have to close before the week was over. We pre-purchased our tickets, so I was so stressed the first day wondering how the resort would be open through the end of the week. We enjoyed the terrain park the first two days while it was open.

The first day was so warm that Kade skied like this. I had my jacket off and we were warm enough.
It got colder as the week went on and by the last night there was rain and snow.
We checked out the town park because we wanted to get out of the condo for a bit. It was cold and rainy so we didn't stay too long.
We drove home Saturday morning. It was a fun week! We skied hard, watched lots of movies, enjoyed sleeping past 8, and swam a lot. All of my favorite things happened.

Skiing At Park City

We had day passes to use at Park City and there was a serious lack of snow this winter. We finally used them the last weekend before the resort closed. There were only a few lifts open so we just skied the same run over and over. It was unlike any winter I've ever been alive for. I took this picture of Lynnlee with this wedding party in the background. I've never seen a wedding party skiing before. Lots of first this year.

Ali's Birthday Lunch

I took Ali to lunch for her birthday. Of course we went to Cravings Bistro. Mmmm!
