This week I discovered that James likes the big wheel on Price Is Right. We don't watch it very often but I had it on twice this week and he would go up to the TV when the wheel was spinning and try to touch it. He would go back to playing with his toys after the segment was over. He's such a funny boy.

24th of July
Celebrating the 24th this year was a little lonely for James and I. Marshall had a conference in Vegas and since it's not the most kid friendly place, James and I decided not to tag along. Since my parent's and in-laws are serving missions we were on our own. On Friday morning James and I went to a Chuck Wagon breakfast at my Grandma's ward in Salt Lake. Her ward building and surrounding grounds are beautiful. This pond is on the south side. James and I walked around it and took pictures.
When we got home we played at the park next to our house.
That afternoon we went to Seven Peaks with Charlie, Angeline, and Ashlyn. Thanks guys for letting us be apart of your family!

Steel Days
This past week was American Fork Steel Days. We had fun with all of the activities going on everyday. We checked out the carnival Friday night. Marshall and James went on the Carousel.
We've only lived in American Fork a couple of weeks but it's been really fun! I love summertime!
We took James to the parade Saturday morning and it was cute to see him pointing at all the floats.
That night we went to the carnival. Bonnie, Ryan, and Kjersti came too. James and Kjersti rode on the train together. They look so little!
Then James and I rode the Carousel together.

Blankie Update
I thought I would give an update on trying to replace James's lost blankie. All the comments were great and there was good advice but we are not as lucky as some. Last week Marshall and I looked all over the internet for the same blankie that James lost. Usually you can find anything on the internet whether it's new or used but we had no luck. Meanwhile we have another soft blankie that he has started to use more. Then while we were shopping at IKEA Friday we saw the cutest stuffed animal dog. James loves dogs and when he saw it at the store he practically mauled the dog and rolled around on the floor with it for a couple of minutes. We decided it would make a nice replacement for his lost blankie. He is so cute with his new friend and even though his first blankie is gone, I'm glad James loves the replacement!

Thursdays with Katie's girls
11 months
I'm always late posting but James turned 11 months this week. I can't believe how fast time has gone. The past 11 months have been so much fun and we continue to enjoy seeing James learn new things.
He loves his toys.
He loves exploring our new house.
It's been too hot to go outside to play at the park so we made our own slide.
Sorry the video isn't very good and turned side ways. James is like a monkey climbing all over everything. He likes to climb up and then slide down.

Tribute to Blankie
This is a tribute to James's blankie. James had ear infections about 2 months ago. During that time he grew attached to this blankie. It was a micro fleece blue and green blanket with a dinosaur on it. It was so cute how much he loved his blankie and always wanted it. He would cuddle with it on the floor, carseat, stroller, etc. He would nap and sleep better with it too. I think I grew attached to it also after seeing how much he loved it. I think it's in the genes. I was attached to my blankie for years, I actually still have my blankie (don't worry I don't have to sleep with it, it's in a box in the crawl space). I wish I could say the same about James's blankie. It's a pretty sad story. It was lost at SeaWorld when we were there Friday.
We took it with us to SeaWorld even though it was 95 degrees outside. When the storm hit I was really happy we had it though. He snuggled with it and stayed warm. The storm was horrible and lasted longer than we thought. We had to run through the rain to meet our ride to the resort. When I last looked James had his blankie. When we got to the car it was gone, just like that! There was lightning and thunder so it was too dangerous to go back and look for it. We had to leave. When we went back to SeaWorld Saturday no one had turned it into lost and found. James didn't sleep very well the rest of the trip. It was so sad. This blog post is dedicated to the blankie. Here are some pictures of James and his blankie.

Orlando Part II
Friday James and I were able to go to SeaWorld while Marshall was at his conference. It was beautiful weather for the first part of the day.
We went to the Wild Artic first where we saw a polar bear and walrus.
Then we went to the Shamu show. James laughed and smiled through it.
This was after the Shamu show and he was so thirsty he couldn't stop chugging long enough for the picture so he has a bottle in front of his face.
We found a nice quiet place to eat lunch and we had this bird join us.
This is the part of the shark exhibit with different fishes and baby sharks.
This is the where the Seals are but unfortunately we couldn't get one to pose for a picture. This bird would have to do.
Penguin Paradise
The manatees were just about as exciting as this statue and the statue made for a better picture.
A huge storm hit and we took cover in the dolphin exhibit.
With all of the rain the dolphins were swimming around like crazy.
