Our fourth of July went really well. The minis had their melt down moment, Lynnlee had her tantrums but overall it was a success. We woke everyone up at 5:30 and to go to the balloon festival. Sadly it was too windy for any of the balloons to launch but they inflated all of them and that made it worth it so my kids could see how cool they look up close. Ali and her family joined us and we ate breakfast there and then watched all of the balloons fill up.
The minis loved the pancakes.
Yoda was a favorite this year. We were sad to hear that the pig balloon crashed Thursday.
I had to post this picture of Yoda peering through.
We were finished so early at the balloon festival that we decided to go check out the parade and booths. They also had lots and lots of free activities for kids. There was a huge sand box, bounce house, story time with some princesses, face painting and crafts.
The minis were stuck in the stroller a lot so they were happy to get out for a bit.
Lynnlee's eyes were glued to the princesses. She was so excited to get a picture with them after.
That night we had our annual Cul-de-sac of Fire. I was in charge so I was a bit stressed but it all came together and it was a successful night. We had dinner, bike parade, carnival games, pinada, kids crafts, chalk drawing competition and fireworks.
