Jameson's team played in the 7 Elite soccer tournament in St. George over the weekend. We found a nice Airbnb to stay in at Las Palmas. There were so many amenities there we needed more time to be able to take advantage of all of them.
We got there Thursday night and then had a lazy Friday morning. James's first game wasn't until 3:00.
The outdoor pools weren't heated but Marshall still went down the water slide and did a polar plunge in the pool. Then they all played in the indoor heated pool and hot tubs.
It's hard to see it but in between the bushes-a roadrunner- that Kade the animal whisperer spotted.
Jameson's team lost their first game. We had a dinner break and then he played Friday night under the lights at Dixie High. It was really cool playing under the lights but the huge field was not so fun. James was pretty tired after. They lost the game. At this tournament there was a shoot out with each game-regardless of the score. It was just something they did. We won the shoot out at the Friday night game.
Saturday we hiked around Pioneer Park.
Lynnlee and I did not go through the slot canyon. Way to claustrophobic!
We drove past the temple.
Then bowling at Dixie Bowl. It reminded me of Holiday Lanes.
Jameson's last game was Saturday afternoon. They lost their third game. It's not fun going to a tournament and losing every game. James has a good attitude though and doesn't let it affect him. He tried his best and at the end of the day that's what matters.
We enjoyed our family time and getaway to somewhere warmer.
