Valentine's Celebrations

Lynnlee, Kaden, Taggart and Sienna got to celebrate Valentine's Day at school Friday the 12th. We weren't sure it work out to pass out Valentine's because of Covid. Thankfully the school decided it was ok to move ahead with it as long as the Valentine's came to the school on Monday that week.

The minis made Valentine's bags in class. Lynnlee used her gumball machine from last year and Kaden used his Charizard box from last year. So it was a very stress free week.

They all came home so happy and said it was a great day. James on the other hand had a normal day in the life of a 7th grader and he was missing the fun of elementary school class parties.

Sunday Cupid's Crazy Cafe was open for business. Betsy and Ali's family were our brave customers. We switched it up a little and you got to your utensils with the whole meal. The trade off was possibly having some wacky utensils. The utensils were numbered in the middle of the table. Each person drew three numbers from a hat and matched up with the utensils in the middle of the table.

We had a lot of forks hoping that the adults could each get one.

We had roast, mashed potatoes, grave, craisen salad, rolls, green beans, jello, Cran-apple Sprite cocktail and chocolate toffee crunch cake. We had an appetizer round, main dish round and then dessert. It was pretty entertaining to see what order everyone got their food. As a kid it might be fun to get dessert first but as an adult that makes my blood sugar go wonky. I was happy I at least got the cake as part of the main dish so I could eat a lot of dinner before getting my dessert.

This is what Ali drew out.
Sienna was pretty excited about her utensils.

Lynnlee likes it better when you don't have a utensil for each round so she chose to eat her food with her hands.

We had fun hanging out after dinner.
