Dinner for Seven

Sometimes it still surprises me that I have five children! The last seven and a half years have gone by so fast! Going from one kid to five is so crazy! It's all good though and it's fun having a house full of energy.

The minis haven't been eating great the last few weeks. It showed at their last check up because they haven't been gaining much weight and they are going down on their growth charts. So we have been trying hard to get them to eat. We found this week that Taggart will eat better at the table instead of his high chair. Last night he wouldn't eat at all until we got him out of the high chair and let him sit at the table.

Tonight we let them sit at the table and they looked so big. They loved it and ate two bowls of soup. It was so messy and they were covered. It's going to be hard transition with bigger messes but it will be worth it if it means they will eat better.

Christmas '15

We took video of Christmas morning but this is the only picture. It was fun waking up to a foot of snow outside. James is our early bird and was up at 7:00. We told him to wait for the others to wake up and they didn't wake up until 8:00!

Taggart and Sienna didn't know what was going on. They were in awe all morning and mostly just sat back and watched everyone else. They didn't care about unwrapping presents.

It was a great day and went by way to fast! We were at home for the morning and then went to Heber for the evening. A good holiday is one spent with family and we are so blessed to be surrounded by family.

Christmas Eve '15

The kids out number the adults by far now at bowling at Christmas Eve. It's pretty fun watching them bowl and hang out with their cousins.

Marshall represented for our family this year and had the highest score out of all the adults. We get to have this beautiful trophy for the next year.

We hung out at my parents' house after and Ali let everyone see their new bunny. She is so cute. Lynnlee has a thing for bunnies and she loved holding her.

Lights at Temple Square

We went to Temple Square on the first night of holiday break. We met up with my parents, Betsy and Charlie's family. It's hard planning a night that works for everyone's schedules. The weather ended up being pretty snowy so Kasey's family couldn't make it.
We met up and ate at City Creek and then all of the kids got to play at the kid area.

We haven't seen Charlie's family since the summer so it was awesome that it worked out for them to go with us.

We finished off the night with ice cream at Farr's Fresh. These cousins had a blast together and were happy and silly the whole night.

North Pole at Seven Peaks

We checked out the North Pole at Seven Peaks this year. The lazy river was a boat ride and you could sled down a water slide. We loved the lazy river and sledding down the slide. The lines were really long or else we would have stayed longer. There was also a train ride and some carnival rides that we didn't get a chance to do.

We loved going with Ali, Katelyn and Drew.

The slide was so much fun! I wish we could have gone down over and over again.

Do you want to build a snowman...

Lynnlee and Kaden love to play in the snow. Sometimes I get to go out and play with them if the minis are napping. On one of the first days of holiday break we made a snowman or snow woman since all of the accessories were pink.

Then I pulled them around the yard on a sled. It was a good start to the holiday break.
