Rose's Scholarship Banquet

I received the James C. Hoellein Scholarship at the beginning of the fall semester. I was invited to attend the Donor and Student recognition banquet. I'm really glad I could go and that Marshall could accompany me. We had a really enjoyable night. We arrived at 6:00 for drinks and socializing. My Pharmacology professor is married to my statistics professor. They are donors and I got to meet them. I see them on the computer so it was really nice to meet them in real life. They are so nice and normal. Then I got to meet the director of the program director for Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She was also very nice and down to earth. 

This was the invitation. Everyone got a book with the names of the donors and recipients. They also had the names on the screens. The program included a speaker who was a donor and 3 recipients. Their stories were powerful and amazing. The three recipients were first generation college students. It was cool to hear what they overcame to complete school.
