Lava Hot Springs

We had so much fun at Lava Hot Springs last year that we wanted to go again. This time Charlie's family and my parents came with. We stayed at the same camp ground, Mary's Place. It is an awesome campground, clean, shaded and nice bathroom/ shower facilities. We all arrived Monday night. We sang to Kaden since it was his birthday.
Tuesday we went to the "water park." It's really called the Lava Hot Springs Swimming complex but water park is so much easier.

Wednesday we rafted the river. That night we went to the hot springs. They were hot and not quite as enjoyable on a warm summer night.

During down time the kids rode bikes around. Wednesday night Sienna crashed and scraped down the side of her body and got five slivers in her hand. In the past she has not done well with slivers. I mean no one likes them and it definitely hurts getting them out but she's not afraid to scream at the top of her lungs. She screamed and screamed. I held her down while Marshall got them out. The girls' camp next to us came over to make sure she was ok.

Going on trips with cousins is so fun. Especially with Charlie's family because everyone has a buddy. This picture totally captures how much fun Taggart and Conner had together. They were honking the horn on Lynnlee's bike.

Charlie's camping style is much fancier. He had a TV on the outside of his trailer.

James went trail running with Marshall on Wednesday.

Then he took Kaden and Tanner fishing. Kaden got a fishing pole and tackle box for his birthday so this was the first time he got to use it. Now he wants to go fishing every day.

Everyone was worn out by Wednesday night. Kaden and Sienna fell asleep while we were roasting marshmallows.

Thursday our family reunion ended and we moved to a camp ground where our ward youth conference was held. The camp ground was dry, no shade, not very good facilities, and no water hook up. I felt like we had gone from Nauvoo to Zion :)

Thursday the youth arrived and set up camp. Then everyone went to the water park. James had fun with some of the young men. Kaden and Lynnlee were buddies. The minis and I hung out. Marshall had fun with the young men and going off the platforms.
Friday the group rafted the river. Marshall, James and Lynnlee went with. The minis and Kaden didn't like the bigger rapids so I stayed back with them at the campground. The one good thing about our camp site the river went past it. There were no rapids and we could get in on the east side of camp and get out on the west side. It wasn't the longest ride but enough to keep the minis and Kaden entertained. We rode the inflatable flamingo and it was the perfect size for four of us. At the end of the day when Marshall got back he dropped us off higher up the river, after the rapids, and we rode back to camp. The minis and Kaden loved that.

Saturday we cleaned up and headed to Brigham City. The youth toured the tabernacle and then went to the temple. I took the kids to see Secret Life of Pets 2. Then we met back up and headed home. Definitely a fun filled week at Lava Hot Springs.
