Everyone but James wanted a picture with the bear :)
By the time we got to our gate at the Salt Lake airport I was carrying the youngest three’s backpacks.
We flew to Orlando since that is where we would be on the second half of our trip. The drive to Siesta Key was a little rough though. Lots of traffic, holding my phone up so everyone would have something to keep them entertained (our rental van was old) and then Kade threw up all over the rental car twenty minutes away from our condo.
But, we made it to Siesta Key, got settled in our condo, said hi to cousins, and walked across the street to the ocean. Then all was good.
Thankfully Kade woke up feeling fine on Tuesday and we enjoyed a beach day.
That night my friend Megan VanDyke came to visit. She told us all about her experience in hurricane Ivan. I’m grateful she was safe! A tree smashed her car and another tree fell on her house.
She ate dinner with us and hung out for a bit. I’m grateful for her friendship!
Later that night we went to what use to be Big Olaf’s. Now it is has a new owner but still really good ice cream.
