Diamond Fork Hot Springs

Marshall and I were planning on hiking Mount Timpanogos this summer. We couldn't find a free day until September but by then there was fresh snow on top. Then the actual day we were suppose to hike it, it was snowing and you couldn't even see the mountain.

We decided to go up Diamond Fork Canyon instead. It was sunny and blue skies there. My brother loves Diamond Fork and has hiked to the hot springs many times. I've always wanted to check it out. It was so different than I imagined. I loved it there.

Marshall flew his drone in the parking lot when we got to there.

This was my view from the parking lot.

This was taken at the beginning of the hike. You follow the river for two and a half miles to get to the hot springs.

The colors were beautiful! It was so exciting to hike it during the fall and have so many breathtaking views.

The hot springs go for about a quarter of a mile. There was a range of temperatures to choose from depending on where the hot water was coming in.

Isn't the water color beautiful?!

We tried a few of the pools out. It wasn't a cold day and so I didn't sit in them for very long. Marshall was definitely more adventurous.

Girl's Night

It is tradition to get together with my mom and sisters (and Aunt Pat who is like a sister to us) to watch the broadcast. We were sad my mom was out of town this year and couldn't be there with us. The rest of us met up at Cravings in Pleasant Grove. They have delicious hot sandwiches.

We watched the broadcast from the comfort of Ali's cute house. I loved all of the messages and have read them all again.

Ali has an amazing view of Mount Timpanogos from her back porch. Marshall and I were suppose to hike Timp but with all of the that new snow we weren't able to (refer to the next post).

Random Pictures

I want these pictures in the scrapbook but they don't really have a place. They would each be a separate blog post so instead they are clumped into a random post.

This was on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Then we went for a walk and all the neighborhood boys were drooling over this car.

This is what my bed looks like after folding laundry for five kids. I don't enjoy folding laundry and putting it away but I always watch  a show or listen to a book and it makes the task much more enjoyable.

Lynnlee wanted her hair curled for school pictures.

This was after a game when they won. They haven't won most of their games but James is having fun playing.

Playing dress ups at Museum of Natural Curiosity.

Outside the museum.

Later that day....Sienna always wants me to take pictures of her.

The minis learned how to open doors. One day I was talking on the phone to a friend from nursing school and the minis started taking games out of the closet. I would put one away and they would get two more out. I put a safety cover on the door knob so I would stop the madness. Bless the person who invented the safety cover for door knobs.

Sienna is the mischevious one. Taggart will follow her lead but he's usually not the one to initiate it. They got into a jar of hand cream on my night stand.

Lynnlee used to not like this dress and then one day she changed her mind and now loves it. She wanted a picture in it for me to send to family.

Playing with the Snap Chat filters....

Sienna seems so grown up these days.

Selfie during after scripture study. I sure love these cuties!

Reading Places

James's teacher wants to make reading fun. She is encouraging all of his class to read in fun and unique places. She puts the picture up on the wall in her class. James has had some fun reading in different places and it has rubbed off everyone else.

Lynnlee's Black Eye

Lynnlee bumped into another player at soccer practice a few weeks ago. It took a few days for the swelling under her eye brow to go down and then she was left with a big black eye. It has lasted for weeks now.
We saw Lucy and she had a black eye too so we took a picture of them together.

Cabellas Night

Marshall took our kids to Cabellas while I went to enrichment night. The kids hadn't been in awhile and they thought it was the greatest place. Seriously though Marshall said they all acted like it was the happiest place on earth. So glad they are at the ages where they are easy to please.

Marshall's Indoor Soccer

Marshall plays indoor soccer every week at night. The games are usually pretty late so the kids and I don't usually go. One night the game was early enough and so we all went with Marshall.

Kaden ran around and played with other kids there. He thought this huge fan was pretty cool.
I actually got to watch the game which was a change from running around chasing kids and trying to keep track of each one like previous games. Lynnlee brought paper and crayons. She kept the minis entertained. James read his book. It was so enjoyable to just sit and watch Marshall's game.

They all liked the new chairs there.
