Lehi Round-Up
Lehi Round Up was low on the priority list this year. Everyone had stuff going on. We caught the mini parade Friday night and the grand parade Saturday morning. We walked around the market at Wine's Park. Sienna was so excited some of the princesses were there!
Sienna and Lynnlee got to have a girl's night with Betsy and so I told Sienna I would take a picture of the royalty in the parade. She calls this the princess float even though she knows they aren't really princesses.
Friday Lynnlee brought her friend Brooklyn with us to walk around the parade. They are practically twins with their blonde hair, blue eyes, and now braces.

Lynnlee's Braces
We didn't think Lynnlee would need braces. She has so much space for all of her teeth and they are straight. The problem is all of her adult teeth grew in and she still had plenty of space....too much space. At her last dental check up the dentist told her that all of her adult teeth were in that would be growing in and so it was time for braces.
I figured she would only need braces for six months because I thought it would be fast to close up the spaces. I was so wrong. Lynnlee is missing three adult teeth. Her baby teeth aren't great candidates for adult teeth. Dental implants are an option down the road but no guarantees with that and also mega expensive! We decided to go with what the ortho and dentist recommended and that is pulling out her baby teeth (of the missing adult teeth) and closing all of the gaps. We feel good about this but it takes a lot of time to close so much space. She will have braces for thirty months!!!

Baptisms at the Provo Temple
We snuck in baptisms at the Provo Temple on the morning Charlie's family drove home. This is totally me living through my children. I think it's so great that they can go together as cousins and it's something I never got to do with cousins. I was so happy I found an open appointment. Lynnlee was suppose to go as well but she woke up with croup. She was SO SAD she missed out! I was sad for her. If only her cold could have waited one more day.

Splash Summit with the Jarvis's
We spent our last day with Charlie's family at Splash Summit.
Sienna got to bring a friend since she doesn't have a cousin buddy.
Since all of the kids had a buddy I found myself having a lot of time so myself. This is a new stage of life for me and I'm still getting used to it. I love it because in the past I would have a hard time trying to make my kids happy because they couldn't all agree on doing the same thing. It was usually a juggling act and taking turns doing what each kid wanted to do. That is not a problem anymore.
Angeline and I got to hang out and visited. It was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Jarvis Family Talent and Conner's Birthday
The Jarvis Family Talent Show looked a little different this year. It was much smaller, held in the theater room at my parent's house and much shorter.
Ashlyn did a great job being the Emcee. She had some really great jokes in between each act. We had a few talents from Katie's family that were shown on the screen so it was fun they could participate still.
We were all entertained. Chewie wore himself out all day at the bake sale and so he camped out on my lap during the talent show.
Conner has a July birthday and usually he's here on his birthday. Since he wasn't going to be here we decided to celebrated after the talent show. My mom made a super cute turtle cupcake cake.
Cousin's Bake Sale
For the past few years we were really lucky to have all of our cousins in town the same time or overlapping. This year it didn't work out with schedules. So I think we will be doing two of everything so we can do it with both cousins families.
Cousin's bake sale part 1 was a huge success! We had homemade peanut butter bars, swig sugar cookies, homemade suckers, muddy buddies, fruity pebble treats, cocoa pebble treats and pink lemonade. Their talent show shirts were the perfect thing for them to match and look official.
While we were there we talked about how far we've come with our "candy stand." The very first lemonade stand was very simple with just lemonade. Then one year I bought candy and capri suns because I was drowning in babies and didn't not have time to bake. No one wanted to buy store bought candy and it was not successful. Three years ago I upped our game and started baking the swig cookies and peanut butter bars.
This year was our best one yet with all of the homemade yummy sweets. We are planning to have another one in July when Katie's family is in town.

Dinosaur Island
We went to Dinosaur Island while James was gone to trek. It's always weird going somewhere fun without all of my kids. I feel like we shouldn't be going without them. Since James is getting older he was totally fine with us going without him so that helped.
Dinosaur Island is a really fun exhibit at Thanksgiving Point Ashton Gardens. There are large animatronic dinosaurs throughout the gardens. There is an informative sign with each one giving details about the dinosaur.
Last summer Lynnlee and I started taking selfies together for a slide show she is making. Now my other kids want pictures with me too.

Trek
Jameson got to go on trek with our new ward. The timing of us going to our new ward was perfect and allowed him to go. We thought Marshall would be released as bishop when the stake boundary changes occurred. He ended up being released three weeks before that so we went to our new ward three weeks before the changes happened. That gave James time to prep and go to trek.
We felt a little unprepared for trek but thankfully with the help of some other families, we rounded up some "pioneer clothes." Thanks to Amazon for his hat.
Jameson had a few friends on trek with him. He rode in the car with this friend's dad. It was a six hour car ride so he really enjoyed the comfort of watching movies, playing games and listening to music the whole way.
Wednesday they had their first trek. They got up early and walked to 6th crossing. It was a six mile trek. They were able to start from their camp. They had one hand cart for their family. They had six "kids" in their family so they had two in the front, two in the middle and two in the back to help with the cart. They made stops along the way to have devotionals.
Thursday they had their second trek. This one they drove to Martin's Cove and walked six miles total. They walked to the cove and had time to reflect and journal. They also had stops along the way to have devotionals.
Friday he went to Rock Creek Hollow and had a devotional. He got to read letters from Marshall and me. They headed home after lunch and got home that night.
He really enjoyed trek and the time he had to think about what the pioneers went through. He also had moments of seeing how important it is to have quiet time. Lastly he thanked Marshall and I for all we do for him.
