Last Day

The last day of school was only an hour and a half. Seems like a waste of resources to bus kids and gather for only one and a half hours!

I told my kids they didn’t have to go and everyone buy James wanted to go.

Lynnlee was emotional about leaving elementary school along with her friends. 7 years of memories at this school starting in kindergarten.

I had quite the craziness picking up my kids at the elementary school to go to Waffle Love for breakfast. School traffic was crazy, time was valuable so we could eat and get Lynnlee to her pool party and so I thought I could bend a rule. Turns out the school aides keep every last rule until the very end of the last second of their school duty for the year. No rule shall ever be broken even once school is out for summer.

While picking up Lynnlee I was chased down by a guard yelling at me for picking up where I’m not allowed to pick up. I had to peel out like a bank robber to get away from the crazy, yelling school aide. I felt like a little kid getting into trouble. James and his friends were in the car and we had a good laugh after.

Waffle Love is the best tradition we started last year. Seriously brilliant! This year some of James’s buddies joined us. I’m all about the more the merrier!
