Kade, Tag, and Sienna had a hard time deciding what they wanted to do for their friend birthday parties this year. At first I thought renting an inflatable slide was off the table because they have outgrown Plan-It Rentals. Those are only for 10 and younger. I looked online for the large slides and it was way cheaper than I thought. It was only $250 for the whole day and the company comes and sets it up and takes it down. Once we found that place, Kade, Tag, and Sienna wanted to rent it for their friends parties. The slide was suppose to be set up by 9:30 so there would be plenty of time before the first party started. The guy was running late so I had a little panic moment trying to figure out what plan B could be. Thankfully the guy came a little after 10:00 and the first party started at 11:00 so it all worked out.
Everyone who is hosting three parties in one day needs a Lynnlee. She made these super cute sloth cupcakes for Sienna's party. She also helped me put together party favors in party bags. She was a huge help with everything throughout the day.Kade's party was first from 11:00-1:00. We did everything out of the basement since there is a drinking fountain and bathroom. We also had the court open if anyone wanted to play in there. It worked out well but made for a couple of unique situations. Kade had a donut cake. He sat on the weight machine when it was time to sing to him. Definitely strange but also memorable.
I made the party invitations and put on there that we were having pizza for lunch. Then a few days later I asked Kade what he wanted for lunch. He said sub sandwiches. I completely forgot about the invitation and made sub sandwiches. Everyone was so surprised at lunch time when I brought out platters of sandwiches. It ended up working out just fine but was kind of a funny goof. It was actually really nice not having to run out and pick up pizzas. I bought French bread, turkey, and cheese and made subs and cut them into 3' size. We also had never ending lemonade in the big orange jug. We went through 4 gallons! We also had chips, cheese balls, and pretzels.
Tag's party was next, 1:30-3:30pm. We just had snacks since it wasn't over a meal. Tag wanted popsicles for his birthday dessert. It flew by. At this point, Marshall was home for the day so I took a quick nap so I could have more energy for the rest of the day.
Sienna's party was last from 4:00-6:00pm. I also put pizza on the invite for hers but then we planned Mac n cheese. I felt bad because one of her friends didn't like Mac n cheese. So I made a big pot of Mac n cheese and then some chicken nuggets for Flora.
Sienna's group was way more chill than the boys. They played on the slide a little but also enjoyed talking on the trampoline.
Sienna also wanted to sit on the weight machine while we sang to her. Everyone loved the cupcakes.
The shade was so nice and it was fun being outside for presents. Her friends were so calm and chill compared to the boys.
I didn't realize that the company wasn't picking it up until the next morning. The kids had the best time playing on it until 10:00pm. We definitely got our money's worth with this rental!
Meanwhile, Tag and Gio got to see the new Superman movie.
Watching in the luxury seats with their own popcorn and treats complimentary of Gio's dad's work.
