I'm involved with PTA again this year but it's a lot different. We have less activities, less volunteering at the school and less meetings. In some ways it's nice because it's not as demanding. In other ways its sad not to be more involved.
This year I was over the committee head who was over Red Ribbon week. It was planned by two moms and they did a great job planning things that could be done at home and focusing on a family theme. There were tickets with activities to do and for each one that you completed you could turn in the ticket for a drawing of prizes. There was a theme each day and a sign out front. If you took a picture by the sign you could turn in a ticket. Some of the other tickets were play a game as a family, make a craft with your family, watch a movie with your family, and make a snack with your family. My kids completed a lot of the activities. They didn't win any prizes but we had a lot of fun completing them together.
